Timbuck is still using Edge Browser, will be interesting to see what they bring to the table?

And that time Cliff called someone a chucklehead...
Anyone else remember that chucklehead at The Other Place© who believed—nay insisted—that Helix Floor could easily be sold for $499 new and that BOSS was about to drop a GT-100 replacement at $499 any day now that would absolutely destroy Helix? Despite my exhaustive explanations about how pricing is based on parts, tooling, labor, shipping, duties, taxes, dealer/distributor margins, and the cost of doing business in Southern California... Nope: "$499, easily."

Sometimes users are just that. Chuckleheads. Cliff is 100% right.
I am sure Line 6 and Fractal will both do just fine selling next gen products at the prices they decide, and I am even more certain neither of them will give a shit what I think about their pricing.
Oh, we absolutely care about what people think about our pricing, and I get into HEATED debates over it in the office. Everyone can probably guess what Stadium XL and Stadium were supposed to be priced at, were it not for, y'know, the thing we're not supposed to be discussing.

But inflation is a thing. Attempting to improve upon one's previous efforts is a thing. R&D costs are a thing. Paying employees who live in high COL areas is a thing. Line 6, Fractal, BOSS, Neural, and Fender only have a few years left before China-based companies push seriously up-market (like B£#®!n&£®/TC "designing" something that looks exactly like Stadium XL and QC had a baby), and it very well may kill one or more of your favorite brands.

So enjoy it while it lasts. In the meantime, I'll be updating my CV.

You could use something like the MIDI Solutions Event Processor. Expensive (though cheaper used), but very flexible and it's powered by MIDI, so no external power supplies required. You would basically just set it up to trigger a MIDI event of your choice when it receives another MIDI event of your choice, so e.g. you could have it send a Sysex message when it receives a certain CC message with a value in a certain range. It can also do more complex things like step through a sequence of events when receiving a certain trigger, or storing certain received values in variables for reference later.

The CME C2MIDI Pro, which is much cheaper (30USD) and smaller (essentially just a MIDI cable with a USB cable coming off of it), should also do it, but I'm not 100% sure that it deals with Sysex (I bet it does). It does require separate power though (via USB)

From what I can tell, unfortunately, the C2MIDI Pro can't do this, but I will try the MIDI Solutions Event Processor.

Anyway. These threads are awesome....

I did. What makes you think I didn´t? What about almost any other brand that sells overseas?

I did. What makes you think I didn´t? This is just about A REPLY form Fractal. Not Fractal per se. The question is more focused on G66 and the exagerated margin applied... to then reply that seems to indicate that there´s no need in getting a more optimal distribution styrategy because people pay anyway. Maybe it´s justified, maybe not, but this is all about the reply. If you don´t understand that, it´s OK, but it doesn´t give you the right to insult me.

Wow... mate, take a walk, or go to have a shit. It look like you desperately need it.
Or soak in a hot tub?

$130 at Alto Music. (I was curious.) I haven't used mine in about 10 years, but it's one of those "cold dead hands" items that I'll always hang onto. So many useful applications.

Thank you for joining the "conversation" if i may say ;-)
Well i'm not sure it's that easy to put a price in France on the Stadium right now. It's not for me anyway.

For example, if i go to Sweetwater to buy an Helix with estimated taxes from New Jersey, it's 1386$.
If i buy the Helix with Thomann, France taxes included, it's 1199€.
It correspond with the dollars euros change rate. Good.

But if i check the Stadium price (non XL) on sweetwater it's 1799$ let's say 1900 with NJ taxes.
In Italy the Stadium (non XL) is listed at 2000€ ... confusing.

So i still wonder what the Stadiums prices are gonna be in Europe.

Best regards from France and thanks again for all these years supporting the Helix family.

As much as I'm a Fractal fanboi, as a consumer I sure appreciate fierce competition. And it's funny because I'm otherwise up to my eyeballs in Yamaha stuff in my house. PA speakers, subwoofer, DTX drums and multipad, a soundbar, several coaxial floor wedges, an old G112-II that I consider a family heirloom. I'm willing to bet I own more Yamaha stuff than @Digital Igloo :rofl
