Unless search failed me, we’re in dire need of an all encompassing thread for celebrating all things Mesa Rectifier.

We yearn for your Rectifiers. Bring us your triples, duals, singles, and yes…even your huddled minis.

I have never owned a rectifier. I'm interested in getting a 50w Single Rectifier - how would y'all describe that vs the dual rec?

WHICH DUAL REC AM I COMPARING IT TO?

I never played anything prior to the 2000s 3 channel but I currently have a MultiWatt Dual Rec which is significantly better. Id argue the 3 channel non MW is....bad?

I had a Single Rec for a minute and I enjoyed it! Tighter than a traditional Dual Rec so you don't necessarily get "that sound" but you get close. If prefer a single rec any day over the non multi watt 3 channel. I remember when I bought my single rec for $600 and the 3 channel non Multiwatt was $900 😂

I miss my roadster and want another one

Re: single rectos, its my understanding that the rectoverb 50 was an identical amp just with reverb. I had the combo and the thing kinda fell apart at band volume :idk its best sounds volume wise were in a weird spot where it was a bit loud for home but then not loud enough for a full band

I hear people raving about the regular single rectos a lot though so idk

I always call mine the "Recto for people who don't like Rectos". I couldn't figure out why I couldn't gel with one until I snagged a single during covid.
Tighter and clearer than all of the other Rectos that I have tried.
As far as volume, my drummer hits like his kit owes him money. Volume has never been an issue with a Marshall 1960B 4x12 or a Mesa Recto horizontal 2x12.

The greatest amp of all time. Distinctive and characterful sounding but works across such a weird range of styles perfectly. Complex and versatile enough but still to the point. Even better with the matching cabs, if ever there was an amp that is fussy with cabs then this is it. There’s a magic that happens with a Mesa cab.

It’s my generations Plexi, and it’s the base of so many legendary bands and albums.

That right there is what I’m talking about 😍 think you sold me on it.
