The Fuzz Thread

Watched a bunch of videos. Not bad for sure - but in most videos, I miss some of those, hmm, shall we say "vocal" mids.
Would like to buy 2nd hand, but maybe I'll just add one to my next Thomann order so I can easily send it back.
Do you mean low mids or upper mids? The Carcosa has more flexibility in the upper mids than say a FF where it seems to be more low mid focused.

Likely some lower end-ish mids.
2:30 (should be spooled) gives a kinda decent impression, but there's been more of what I mean at the gig):

That sounds like it has an octave down added to it. The Carcosa has a high cut so the lows are pretty low if needed, but just in a different zone than a FF style.

Spent the night playing with a Grind Customs Supernature. It's a 1976 Jumbo Tonebender clone, it feels like a really great big muff had a love child with an older tonebender. I bloody love it.

The JTB is only two components away from a B&M fuzz unit, that's the Edwyn Collins Girl Like You fuzz, so it's got a switch to go between them.

Gonna check it out at band rehearsal levels on Friday night.
