When in doubt, smoke it.

I was doing hot sauces for a while with smoked peppers, an old boss of mine grew all types of habanero varieties and would always bring me bunches. I probably peaked with those batches of hot sauce. Again, didn't really look that pretty (tbh kind of looked like sewage) but holy crap did it taste good

Alas I don't have that pepper supply anymore and my folks moved to Florida so I can't just go use pops smoker anymore

Found a guy on marketplace with a listing for a bunch of frozen and dried super hot pods for sale, but I can't seem to get him to respond to me

Anyone like fresh mozzarella?

Sourdough bread brushed w a little olive oil in the oven with fresh mozz, good tomatoes, fresh basil until the bread is toasted and the mozz starts to melt.

Oh man that's good.
Roasted caprese Sammy!!!! Yep

In Naples they call it pizza.....🤣🤣🤣🤣

I made Sardine Toast tonight. Shockingly delicious. :chef

Gonna lean in because I bought a 12 packer of them little fishies.

I think Sardine Toast is open to interpretation and highly customizable,
so lots of variations are possible. :stirthepot

Big fan of the lil fishes lol

My family used to make this dish called bauna calda (sp?)

It was basically lots of garlic, butter, olive oil and anchovies.

My grandma and grandpa used to have all their family and friends over for it. Smoking cigars & drinking wine, they called themselves the buana calda group when they would introduce me to them.

We'd all stand around with a slice of bread as your plate and then dipped a bunch of fresh veggies in it. Eventually bread got soaked from spillage and you ate it. Was so good. Smelled up the house and your clothes so bad hahaha

Yum! :banana

We went to eat a fancy-schmancy place this past week and they had Bread charred in a
Wood Fired Oven and then brought out some Burrata and Goat Cheese. My first bite I
just started laughing hysterically..... because it was that damn good..... and so simple. :chef

Hell yea. My grandma would be happy to be passing it along. I'm sure Italians have been making that for years.

Start with the olive oil and brown the garlic in it. Add the butter till it melts then add the anchovies. Cook till they break down when you stir. Maybe a little pepper. Keep it at a low heat.

Veggie wise you want stuff that soaks it up like the leafy parts. Broccoli, cabbage, celery, anything really. But the best part is the bread dipped in it. It's so good but will def freak a lot of people out lololol
