The Digital Doubt

Thank you for asking.

Jimi Hendrix was my door into guitar. And when I listened to him, I never really thought about the gear he was using. All I knew then was "Fender" and that was it.

The Deluxe was the first amp in Helix where I was happy with the sound I was getting. So I got the York IR.

I now use a Super Reverb with either a 4x12 Greenback or a 4x10 Tweed P10R

Do you mean this one, by the way?

Thanks! No, I meant this one:

Are you playing densely packed post-metal music
Uhh, no. What even is "densely packed post-metal music?" I get zip on the phrase in a web search.
in general when I'm micing up a guitar cab, I am micing up for a specific context.
The handful of sessions I did back in the day were all in "specific contexts," but I was never the producer or engineer. I did on occasion provide input about mic choice and placement, and my recommendations were generally well-received. Whether the music was "densely packed," I really can't say (it was definitely "pre-metal," however). There were at times multiple guitars, along with drums, acoustic piano, and various electronic keys.

For example:

The band features 3 guitarists (one of them doubling as a synth player for half the time) and a bass, as well as drums and shouty vocals. You'll hate it. But this is what I mean - densely packed.

Video link appears broken to me. Band and song name please?

There's a surprise: A Swede rambling about how great Volvo is... Next up: The story about how the end of Saab is the greatest loss to the automobile industry in the history of mankind... ;)
SAAB! As a car company it’s a very romantic story and it’s very deeply rooted and important. Yes… they tried to keep the car side alive for way too long… sad… but in the end the last 15 years of it was dead anyway. SAAB vs Volvo regarding cars, SAAB was always considered a little controversial.

But oth SAAB Scania as an industry leader in several other areas… cool stuff!

Fuck IKEA!!!!!!

Also, the internet is such a weird place.

Here we might meet a nurse who is just hooking up her guitar in her Helix and having a discussion with a sound enigeer, who is having a discussion with a studio session artist who is having a discussion with a touring musician.

So who is right, right.
You have to decide which one of those hats to wear, then seek advice more in that direction. Or just wing it.
