The Best Tones of YouTube

A few channels/people I really like that haven't been mentioned yet:

Mark Johnston - post rock vibeiness
Nick Harris Riffs - modern metal
Keyan Houshmand- modern metal
Mendel bij de Leij - rock to modern metal

Blake Mansfield, our very own @MirrorProfiles gets very nice tones

Man, it's so funny; all this time I had misread what you wrote. I thought you were saying Blake Mansfield is MirrorProfiles! I found Mansfield's page, which is fantastic, and MirrorProfiles page, which is fantastic, and the Ed S page, from a MirrorProfiles link, and that is also fantastic! Now I know Ed is @MirrorProfiles, Blake is another person, and they both have monster tones haha.

Yep, I absolutely thought the same thing. Was very confused when I tried to find any mention of "MirrorProfiles" on Blake's channel.

I understood what you said, because I knows what a commas is.

These are some of the most brutal sounding demos I've ever heard in my life, and they were done 13 years ago with a cell phone.

I can't find it now, but there's a demo done on either a cheap phone or camera of a Diezel Herbert that is just one of the most monstrous sounding amps I've ever heard. Since it's not close mic'd and he's playing both loud and downtuned, it's one of the very few demoes that actually captures the power of a big head on a 4x12. It actually inspired me to find more neutral mics and room mics to blend.

Yeah, as much as I can't stand cell phone or "room" recordings of guitar 99% of the time, on super rare occasion they can capture a fire breathing airy sizzle and the walloping shockwave of palm muted sub-bass that compresses everything else for just a second, and it's magic.
