The Best Tones of YouTube

Go incognito or sign out of Youtube and surf anonymously once.. the videos on the YT homepage are so repulsive, wow.

Cleavage, wrestling, animals, Mr. Beast.

All clickbait junk w/ massive clicks.

I’ll check out duckduckgo as pointed out.
Bing is another search engine that’s so advertisement focused, it’s unreal.

Back to the topic…..

Not the tone so much, but the impact of the playing and the swells in this phone recorded video is immense.

Thomas Dahl is a jazz professor and has won some awards too; he’s from Norway. Not a youtuber though.

My God, I can't believe I hadn't even thought of just browsing YouTube without my account. That absolutely is the ticket. If there's a video I want to bookmark I can always copy the URL to the shitshow version signed in. This is great.

And it's funny, I used DuckDuckGo a few years ago but stopped for some reason. I think it may be time to return. Thanks everyone for contributing your thoughts!

I’ll vote LPMojo cuz he don’t polish the moment.
And in his demonstrations, the gear in the signal will speak for themselves if ya give it a precise listen.
Just like you or me gettin’ of work sitting’ down pick up the guitar strum some shit, hit a lick,
fire up the amp and start jammin’.
Reality really is it was it really is and it’s just another amp..
I didn’t my say anyone was B.A.D.either.
The BAD lot Karen….come and get me.

I think we hear more of these Y’Tuber’s set-ups to record, edit & process the sound far more then the amplifier’s naked as a rake’s inherent sound.
But look what we listen to these video’s through.
Not Alpines💯
Eventually all we’ll know is digital because that’ll be the only way it’s readily available.
Even digital dicks.
So f-it.Get the whip & play Rawhide in A💪

Michael Neilsen for sure. That dude makes me want to buy everything he demos, lol.

Leon Todd as well. I think Leon is like, an alien or something. I don't know how a dude that young can know so much about 70's and 80's music and tone.

I only login to my YT account if I want to comment otherwise for all the gear related vids, I watch anonymously because I don’t want it in my feed.

Man Michael Nielsen for sure, Pete Thorn, Shawn Tubbs, those guys always get great all around tones.

Kyle Bull has gotten progressively better tones over his time on his channel and I actually like his content/approach. His vids helped push me over the edge buying my Savage MKII as well as a couple cabs. Plus he’s quick to actually respond if you ask him something.
M

Leon Todd seems super nice, good player and he might get a handy just for that accent but fuck me, not once heard a tone from him that got my trigger finger itchy. Well, not totally true, his bid on the PSA1 sounded pretty good. Other than that though…

I’ll also just add, even though I don’t do a lot of content I get some pretty good fuckin’ tones! lol!

My fave is Guillaume Vrac. He's got the best no-nonsense tones for my taste, recorded well and he's a good / tasteful player as well.
Here's an example covering a lot of different sounds:
