I totally get where you're coming from here. FAS absolutely slays NDSP for quality and variety of FX.View attachment 18072

That stuff + functionality and not having to question "Can it do this?" + Reliability/Trust comes before my distaste of NDSP.
For some reason, I was thinking about exactly this this morning. My guess is they would go with the same sized screen regardless, so they could get better price per volume on the part, and invest less in R&D for an OS and UI overhaul. Fewer switches/encoders, less I/O, and half the processing power (a la Stomp vs. Helix Floor) would seem likely, but...I’d probably kick the tires on a Dual Cortex if plugins are ported by then, and it still does all the capture stuff. Just a smaller screen, no bottom row of footswitches, and two full lanes vs four.

On the other hand... I so rarely wake up thinking, "How will I ever be able to play my guitar today without a 'The Cytherians' reverb model?? Oh the horror the horror." Sometimes it all seems a little bonkers. Could do with a happy medium, maybe.
In fairness, Kemper and Sweetwater said the very same thing. No no, he specifically mentions an unit with all the capabilities of the Kemper Stage, but in smaller package.
I use the extra lanes of DSP the same way I used them on the HX Floor (since the architecture is fundamentally the same): for extra audio channels, e.g. vocals, bass guitar, etc. in the studio. QC is not going to be the device of choice for every application, obviously. (I've just cued up the "or any application" punchlines for ya. Have at 'em, kids. )I basically used mine as a dual cortex anyway, since I didn't feel like there was anything to add to the presets that actually required the other half of the dsp. I could've split the signal and added 4 basic delays and six instances of a shitty reverb along with X amount of latency, but why would I want do that?
Maybe I should take a selfie of my happy face while on the toilet, as I just downloaded 2 captures of the Pussy Melter pedal from the Cortex CloudI totally get where you're coming from here. FAS absolutely slays NDSP for quality and variety of FX.

The only possible explanation is that QC's never work. Was just checking a number of NAMM videos uploaded over the weekend and, man, Quad Corteces were everywhere. Pretty much everyone with guitars and gear to demo had one set up and hooked to a "FRFR" amp solution.
Whatever's going on here, I think we can all agree, it's Funnier With Cats™.
Personally, I usually put on a happy face in the toilet for other reasons, but to each his own!Maybe I should take a selfie of my happy face while on the toilet, as I just downloaded 2 captures of the Pussy Melter pedal from the Cortex Cloud
Man this thing is fun to use!
Or maybe let's not?Maybe I should take a selfie of my happy face while on the toilet...
Alrighty, then. I'll just file that under "Things I'll need to Google After Work"...I just downloaded 2 captures of the Pussy Melter pedal from the Cortex Cloud...
1000%Man this thing is fun to use!
At least the noise level at NAMM covers up the dreadful ground loop.Folks at NAMM having a nervous poop when opening the floor to the guests, letting them play through the QC`s.
..will it work
..ohh I hope it works
.....this must be a miracle..day 3 ...it still works....

In what universe? Like all of a sudden he doesn’t know what happens a few bars ahead.Different take @Ed DeGenaro .
Trying to play at that skill level, to tracks, with a click, with another guitarist at that level, at that tempo and then dropping out at a random spot to adjust your master volume and then jumping right back in on cue is going to be next to impossible.
That's why he cocked his head for a microsecond to the guy in front and asked for a bit of help to my mind.

...noise-gate 81%At least the noise level at NAMM covers up the dreadful ground loop.
Noise gates and humbusters oh my.However, I think this same "feature" allows me to use the QC in 4cm with my amp and not need a Morley Hum Exterminator?
(Which I did need with the FM9, to get rid of a huge ground loop hum when used in 4cm.)
