The Annual NAMM predictions rumours thread 2024

I’d probably kick the tires on a Dual Cortex if plugins are ported by then, and it still does all the capture stuff. Just a smaller screen, no bottom row of footswitches, and two full lanes vs four.

Is it solely the distaste for the company as to why you haven't tried it yet?
The whole QC thing has made one single big impression on me:

At this point, given how deep Fractal and Helix are and how good both sound, there is honestly no room left for me to get excited about The New Guy, whoever it is, because they are NEVER going to be able to catch up just content wise for it to make sense. See also, TMP.

If I want something that is as easy to use as TMP or QC looks…I’ll just go with discrete pedals and have an even better workflow for about same
Money.

Love me some Troll 2.

When I had my Axe Fx II I used 20% of the things it could do
On my QC I have all that + the thing that I wish my Axe Fx had.. Capturing

When I first saw HW's thumbnails, I assumed he sounded like Louie Anderson when he spoke. I know I watched a couple minutes of something of his a couple years back and know he doesn't sound like Louie Anderson when he talks, but since I can't remember what he really does sound like, I just assume it sounds like Louie Anderson.

For whatever's worth, the ToneJunkie guy doesn't quite have the... best track record on making predictions. Not sure why everyone taking him at face value on the subject.

For reference, some of his predictions for 2023 were:
  • Helix HD
  • Kemper Stage Jr.
  • Quad Cortex Marketplace
Then again, he was right about the ToneX pedal ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

AKA Kemper Player 😂

No no, he specifically mentions an unit with all the capabilities of the Kemper Stage, but in smaller package. Think Pod Go / Quad Cortex size.

That was a planned leak, 100%. If I’m wrong, I’ll donate a nut for science.

I might be wrong, but i'm pretty sure there were already rumors about IK announcing ToneX hardware back then. The pedal launched about one month after that video.

Don't like the company and the infinite step backwards in fx quantity and quality from FAS is a big NOPE from me.
I feel like NDSP is doing to modelers what game devs did to gaming. Soon there will be early access for 10 year old NDSP plugins and everything released will be buggy as hell and the fan bois will just fluff their nuts for them saying how great the QC is now 4.5 years later with beta editors and 1 working plugin in the hardware.
