Can never have too many Mids.

That mid hump is definitely fast pass to get that monstrous super alive and vocal lead tone he has

Ironically just moments ago, was playing through my mark IV and thinking “alright something is seriously fucking wrong here, I like a scoop but this suddenly seems out of hand and not great”

Then I realized I was playing with my “mark III” bank of presets on the stomp so I was double V scooping the amp :rofl

Haha! V'ing the V on the IV! :rofl

LOL... this was listed the other week for $1700 OBO and then disappeared after a few days

Now its back up for $2200 firm? Same pictures and same location so I don't think its a reflip unless someone happened to live in the same neighborhood and was too lazy to retake the photos

I honestly doubt many of these are moving at $2200. Probably worth doing some lowballing to see if anyone decides to cash out. Most of the people selling these probably picked them up 5-10 years ago when they were going for $600.

Yeah just finding the disappearance and price change odd. I almost wonder if it is a flipper and they're just using the same photos to throw off the scent lol. When it was originally listed before at 1700 it was actually the same day I was going to get my purple stripe. I considered calling an audible and changing gears... but then figured paying $800 more and then an inevitable extra $300 on top of that for a head shell wasn't worth it just to have the GEQ

There is a small glut of combos available, maybe 60-70% without EQ from what I am seeing? I have to have the EQ if I'm doing it. Varying states of disclosed issues. The heads are a bit more rare but nice looking specimens are really nice even if they show their age. Hardly any non-EQ heads from what I see. Ol' blue really set that bar high then pulled the rug out

I know opinions differ on this, but I’m 100% aligned with you. I would not consider ANY mark series circuit without GEQ. Yes you can still get great tones but you can’t get ALL the great tones without extra gear, a pedal, additional power, cables, probably noise.

No thanks.

These prices will eventually fall or some gem will pop up in South Dakota GC or something. I’d just hang in there for a bit - see what happens over the next 6 months economically.
