My knowledge of Booge related speakers is pretty much "EVL and C90s? Barely heard of her". JBL is another universe compared to my usual suspects.

I’m not familiar with JBLs stock in Mesa combos. I assume that must be aftermarket but I guess doesn’t really matter since this thing likely ends up racked or in a head anyway.

Yeah. Probably original caps and everything if the owner isn’t calling it out as being serviced, but even after a cap job you’d be way ahead of any other option in this market.

Any mark III still running factory filter caps is probably on borrowed time at this point.

I do believe at one point or another JBLs were offered as an option from Mesa

Idk if that speaker would be up Jive's alley or not, but E120s and D120s fetch a lot of money. Very popular speakers with the Dead crowd chasing jerry tone

You might be right. I vaguely recall a very limited number of Mark IIB that use 15 inch JBLs way back in the mid 80s.
