The TC is an inoffensive, unremarkable amp. Not terrible, nor great.
If it helps, I don't like the Badlander at all with the Mr. Scary mod.. I have a Badlander 100W and i like it a lot more with a boost in front.Scratch that, the Mr. Scary mod doesn't work with the 25w version.![]()
I’m going to take a note of that setting and try it out on my 50W. I tend to play it safe and keep my all of EQ around noon.If it helps, I don't like the Badlander at all with the Mr. Scary mod.. I have a Badlander 100W and i like it a lot more with a boost in front.
Not sure how the power section behaves but try these settings on the Crunch channel with a boost in front.
Boosted Badlander still straight up RIPSIf it helps, I don't like the Badlander at all with the Mr. Scary mod.. I have a Badlander 100W and i like it a lot more with a boost in front.

I’m a newer guy and this is the most welcoming place concerning internet guitar haha
One thing I learned from being a Fractal user is that, on some amps, weird EQ moves like this really deliver the goods. Just ask @MirrorProfiles about the Bogner Uberschall he has lolI’m going to take a note of that setting and try it out on my 50W. I tend to play it safe and keep my all of EQ around noon.
I need something greater than simply “mind blown”I wish the Badlander had more gain on the Crush mode.
Compare "crush" to a 5150 lead channel or Recto in modern mode. Not enough gain comparatively. I don't want to always have to boost it for heavier.
Buying a tuner is never a bad idea considering some of the local bands I’ve seen in my time.I was talking about getting a drive pedal, probably just an SD-1, but I knew that would spiral into adding at least a tuner…
Truly one of the amps of all time. The TC is an inoffensive, unremarkable amp. Not terrible, nor great.
