As of my last knowledge update, SX guitars, including their Stratocaster models, are generally considered to be budget-friendly options that offer good value for the money. SX guitars are often praised for their affordability and decent build quality, making them suitable for beginners or players on a budget.
However, opinions on the "best" SX Stratocaster can vary based on individual preferences, and it's important to note that there might have been new releases or changes in the lineup since my last update.
One popular model is the SX Furrian, which is a Telecaster-style guitar rather than a Stratocaster. The SX SST series includes various Stratocaster-style guitars. The specific model that might be best for you depends on your playing style, preferences, and budget.
In terms of sound, SX guitars generally aim to provide a classic Stratocaster sound, which is known for its versatility and bright, bell-like tones. Keep in mind that the sound of a guitar is influenced not only by the guitar itself but also by the player, amplifier, and other gear.
To get the most accurate and up-to-date information, I recommend checking recent reviews, forum discussions, and online communities where guitarists share their experiences with SX guitars. Additionally, visiting a local music store to try out different models in person can give you a better sense of how they feel and sound to you personally.

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, SX is a brand that produces affordable guitars, including Stratocaster-style models. The quality and playability of SX guitars can vary, and opinions on them might be subjective. Here are some factors to consider when evaluating the quality of an SX Stratocaster-style guitar:

1. **Price Point:** SX guitars are generally considered budget-friendly, and their affordability can make them attractive to beginners or players on a tight budget. However, lower prices can sometimes indicate lower-quality components and craftsmanship.

2. **Build Quality:** Check for any visible defects, such as sharp fret edges, uneven finishes, or loose hardware. Pay attention to the overall feel of the guitar, including the smoothness of the neck and the quality of the fretwork.

3. **Hardware and Electronics:** Consider the quality of the pickups, tuners, and other hardware. Lower-cost guitars may have generic or less expensive components. Upgrading these parts later on can improve the overall performance and tone.

4. **Playability:** Play the guitar to assess its playability. Check the action (string height), intonation, and feel of the neck. A guitar that is comfortable to play can be more enjoyable and conducive to learning and performing.

5. **Sound:** The sound of a guitar is subjective and depends on personal preferences. Some players might find that SX guitars offer decent tone for the price, while others may prefer higher-end models with better pickups and electronics.

6. **Reviews:** Look for reviews and user feedback on the specific model of SX Stratocaster-style guitar you are interested in. This can provide insights into the experiences of other players and help you make an informed decision.

It's important to note that the guitar market can change, and new models may have been released since my last update. Additionally, individual preferences and expectations can vary widely. If possible, try playing the SX guitar in person before making a purchase decision. If buying online, make sure there is a return policy in case the guitar doesn't meet your expectations.

I asked a question smart aleck I don't need you posting pictures of AI talking like an AI trying to make fun of me because your on a public forum and your making an idiot of your self by posting this crap you probably have the IQ of a sloth I just had a question and wanted an honest and normal answer but I guess your too slow to know how to do something like that aren't you Gomer Pyles😂

Hmmm... Is it lazy, rude, or lazy rudeness to make someone decipher a long string of words without punctuation? I think I too should vomit a word salad in the form of avant garde poetry instead of just reading reviews or just asking for people's experience respectfully. Maybe I'll invent my own form and start punctuating between every word.

Settle down, Beavis. Especially if you’re jacking up responses like this-

You were trying to reply to me (DrewR2D2), but somehow quoted FuzzyAce while writing your reply in the quote box.

There’s some great, knowledgeable people here that’ll be more than happy to point you in the right direction. You’re new, take a minute to settle in and say “Hi”

I asked if you were a bot due to the very basic info provided in your posts, lack of responses and your account seemingly posing the same question. You may not be aware, but it very much looks like an AI account. They’re just normally trying to sell sneakers or blowjobs via dating apps instead of asking guitar questions.

Or; total shit ,even worse than Sire.🤣 That would have saved you a while.

@GearMan333 - based on your post history, you might be better off posting a more general thread such as "Best rock/metal guitar under $xxx".

  • Use some punctuation
  • Spell out your requirements
If your budget is $200, I'd suggest you buy something used.

As a general recommendation, Ibanez guitars fall solidly into that category. Stuff from the 90's and before especially made in Japan.

I'd suggest checking your local Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace.
