I really didn't need another guitar but I've been obsessed with the Strat sound lately even though I never considered myself a Strat player. I own a couple of super Strats (Charvel MIJ San Dimas & G&L Invader from 1986) and a partscaster with Dimarzio Injectors & a Warmoth compound radius neck. All very good guitars but none are a traditional Strat and I decided I needed a legit Strat, noisy single coils and all.
Trolling the local CL, this had been listed for a couple of weeks at good price so I made a rash decision to buy it last night. 2019 MIM Player Stratocaster with Plus Top. It looks brand new and probably wasn't played much at all. I need to do a few tweaks like file the nut slots for tuning stability but otherwise I'm going to leave it close to stock as possible. It plays and looks great.
