Speaking of the drip; Axe III incoming.

Is it common practice to clear the unit from everything?
I've read that it boots faster without all factory presets.
It's not that long of a boot time anyway... But, yes, it will boot faster.

I removed all factory presets for most of my Fractal life (10+ years) but I currently do have them on my FM9. Sometimes it's fun to explore. Many people do remove them.

I only ever really use my own presets, though.

I've noticed everyone's buying Fractal's the past month, what's going on here?
I dunno James its Fractals and Boogies galore here

Fractal is literally the only hardware modeler available with an accurate IIC+.
Good versions of the real amp are getting super hard to find due to collectors, and outside the US forget about it.
Fractal it is.
USA Lead Mid Gain for the Win :chef

Then again the Marshals in the Fractal are super awesome, my favorite is the 6AC7 50 watts and I really love the JCM 800's
Then there are the Friedmans, the Camerons, the Soldanos, the Bogners.... NVM i love them all

:rofl

I honestly don't need. Boogies in the box are so darn good there really isn't a point other than for fun. Difference being with this; you do a tone match then get bored and go back to the pile of 300 amps already included
:rollsafe
If you really wanted to approximate it I would saw Mesa Recto Red 1 or 2 and flipping the tone stacks to an 800 add some NFB in like 3.0 lower the sag
And hit the amp boost that most likely closest to the Crush
Orange channel similar setting maybe boost off will probably get you in the crunch territory

Blake posted a vid of it compared to a bunch of Marshall 800s and the BL was thicker but close

My Recto preset is Recto Red 2 Vintage through Recto dynacab. Boosted with a just above barely gained up and on Rat. So I'm kinda already almost there as is

Yep I think that would be close to Crush ,try changing the stack to 800 and tone matching , I think Wookiee has a simulation of it in his axe if I am not mistaken

Fractal it is.

Good examples are hard to find because a few guys at RigTalk own the majority of them and intentionally jacked the prices up to $5K+.

I dumped the factory presets but added all the Austin Buddy presets. I kept some of the stranger factory presets on the FM9 but overall found it far easier to keep a blank slate/organized group of amps/cabs rather than having a bunch of random presets that vary from “Never gonna use this” to “Cool, but never going to use this”
