Speaking of the drip; Axe III incoming.

All roads lead to the AxeFX I see…

But does the road stop there? It didn’t for me the first time, the return trip might though who knows. Back then, the product wasn’t nearly as mature as it is now. That meant that there were frequent updates, many of which might break your existing presets. I got tired of the merry go round after a while. Really appreciate the Helix in this regard, they add new stuff and leave your existing stuff alone. It seems more stable now though, and it’s mature enough that you could probably decide not to take an update to minimize risk without having too much fomo.

There were other things too that have now been addressed - all in one floor unit with plenty of horsepower, UI that allows you to easily control some key things from the front panel with limited or no menus and screens, delays that compete with other top shelf stuff, etc.

I’m just blabbering to pass the time while I wait to see if 23 stuff makes it to the FM9…

The more I use the FM9, the more I like it. However it’s also made me appreciate some things in Helix even more, because of how well a lot of it holds up. The Helix is no slouch, for sure, and if I could only have one, it would be a very tough decision. Thankfully it’s a decision I don’t have to make!

Yeah, I think once you get to the upper tier of the modeler game they all sound good, and all have something unique to offer. Being able to surf between them is a winning move.
