SoOoooN! [NDSP Morgan Amps Suite]

For the 50-60 amps in their siloed plugins, you could just buy a fucking FM9 and call it a day. Oh, and get way, way, way more for the money.
Already got an FM-3 but the workflow of plugins is much better for me, that when a comparable quality plugin comes out I’ll just scoop them up. It’s money that could go in Fractals pocket if they wanted to do plugins. Until they do, the money goes elsewhere.

I love the FM-3 but plugins are just better for me

They are still the gold standard with the best amp modeling and FX tech. Who else makes something better?

Better for you or me doesn't mean better for every use case and workflow. You know this. Fractal has plenty of barriers to entry that drive people to other options (e.g. No plugin, less-than-premium UX, no flagship floor product, no profiling, must buy direct and can't try in a brick-and-mortar store).

I'm a happy FM9 owner, but that doesn't mean it's my everything.

They are going to make a small fucking fortune dude. People talk a good game, but you can bet your ass QC owners are going to be buying up plugins, knowing they are one click away from new content. It’s going to be the ultimate act against your own self interest money printer for Neural. #SOON
This is an absolutely unbelievable strategy . so if I understand , I can buy a plug in now for Christmas because it has new amps that I want to use on my QC that are not currently available in my QC , but it is compatible for sure and will be available to port to hardware at some undetermined date in future ,

I feel like Gary Busey is consulting on the engineering team

The smart move I think would be to wait until it's officially ported. I wouldn't be buying these for the sole purpose of having them on the QC as that day may never come to be honest

True , but agin I have to go back to the fact the last 6 months they have been focusing their efforts on bringing Plug in to hardware
Why would you continue to release products that aren't compatible that's seems to be counter productive , did the plug in team not get the memo

They said plugins would be available for this unit at launch. I wouldn't attempt to make sense or put stock in anything they say until it happens

Nah, I’m talking about when they port them. Buying them now for compatibility in the future would be silly obviously.

I was more talking about Mongillo saying he wished they’d just develop the QC without the plug-in distraction. Plugins have become an albatross for users, but it will be a massive revenue generator for Neural once they manage to pull it off.

I’ve owned the QC now twice, and am actually about to send it back yet again.

I don’t know how the eventual porting of their plugins can be counted as a win for them anymore; hasn’t too much time passed? The device is nearly 4 years old at this point.

I also don’t even know how the porting of their plugins is a useful feature, at least in my workflow. The same tonal stuff is possible with the QC as a standalone unit. It just doesn’t make sense.

I would add that, since it has been removed from their marketing strategy, most new users aren’t even aware (or aren’t placing into their purchase calculus) of the original nature of the promised plugin compatibility.

I kind of wish that they would spend less time on that and spend more time developing the onboard effects and file management / WiFi.

The Morgan AC-20 amp model sounds good, and i`m making captures of it right now. Will try the other amps later

Listening to Pete Thorn's demo tracks is always a pleasure. His demos are just incredibly good, and I don't know anyone who can match them.
yea sammy hagar should have taken pete on tour with the vh tribute band...instead of joe

Yea, that was me, like a couple years ago. I bought a couple plugins when they came out so they would be free to get in my QC. Then time went by, I grew older and wiser, and then finally sold the QC and the plugs still sit mocking me from the menu bar of my desktop every day.

What's driving you away this time?

Errr.....you can resell those plugins, my guy.

Uhh…what? Thanks!
*runs to desktop to pursue this suggestion….*

Oh hell no!! Apparently they charge $25 per plug to allow me to sell what I already bought!
So Plini and ToneKing will cost me another $50 to sell. Greedy f#$& cu..s!!

Going to shut up now so I don’t become the first one to be banned from this place
