Hmmmm. If this is real.... Looking at other products on the market, this would fit right into that ToneX and Kemper Player price point is my guess. But I'm not sure this grabs me that much personally. I dunno... on the one hand these devices slot right into your pedalboard full of Boss, Meris, Strymon, whoever.... on the other hand... you'd sort of hope for more.

This looks like an amp modeller or capture box only, kind of affair. Which tbh, I think you're giving up quite a lot of functionality and capability from the Quad Cortex, for something that isn't THAT much smaller.

Price point is going to be key to this being a success IMO.

Kemper player does not have a screen , nor does 2notes Opus , I am with Jarick it certainly looks like a similar design

unless you know something we don't , that is about as solid a look as we have

I’m fine with it so long as you can still do meaningful editing of the entire chain on-device. If any primary controls are hidden in an app, then I’m 100% with you.

Judging by that leaked photo (assuming it’s legit) it makes me think this is just an amp and/or capture player. Since it has fixed knob labels, I don’t see how FX could be implemented, unless those controls are nested in the app only.

If it’s all their models + captures, could be cool. If it’s just captures… I’m so out on capture only devices personally…

Sadly... that seems to be pretty much every device with a phone app these days. The only exceptions i'm aware of are Boss products.

I would be really tempted to replace my HX stomp if they did because the modeling is better compared to the helix but the effects would be a huge step back.

Agreed , I don’t want a Bluetooth app and just captures , plus no effects like the dual delay and a reverb
It becomes less interesting

If it like a Pod express where you have amps 5 drives 5 delay
5 verbs and a great App
For $499 …. Maybe

Interesting - i was kinda expecting something akin to a HX Stomp, given how Cortex Mini / NanoCortex (!!!) will be the QC's little brother.

Looks like we're getting a very watered down version of the QC, and/or a device that can only be programmed by apps & computers.

ya very hard to see , my guess is gain bass, mid, tree , channel , level
this don't look like footswitch knobs that turn , so likely they could by using the fractal /kemper. Tap / Toggle . Hold multi use switching
there appears to be 5 mini leds above the footswitches on both sides
I think its going to be really hard to figure out until they show the App connected
I am still leaning towards no Amp modelling perhaps captures, / cabs and limited effects

Looks like the buttons cycle devices/banks, endless encoders, everything with its own LED indicators. Sharp and sleek. All gonna come down to what all it does and how it’s implemented with those controls.

Man, this is one I have mixed feelings for. I literally want an FM0 like this that runs (limited) Fractal amp models and FX, but on the NDSP side, I feel the UI/UX is the best feature and this cuts it. So between this, Kemper Player and possibly a Fractal device, I would have a hard time going with NDSP (heck let’s not even bring up the HX Stomp!). But YMMV and people want their plugins I guess(?)
