That why I like the models instead just grab Freidman HBE and go , if this had 10 or 15 of the QC models
5153 Gold , Princeton
Ac30 , Silver Jube , HBE
Kraken , Deluxe etc etc
I would have 100% purchased it the way it is and been pretty happy

If you compare it to a QC it seems dumb. If you compare it against the big ToneX pedal or the Kemper Profile Player then it aces those.

If they set up the Nano to do multiple captures that would have been cool. Then you could do pedal captures and amp captures in one.

But Tonex does a lot of the same stuff for cheaper especially if you do the mini pedal version.

What’s the draw for the Nano against the Kemper? That seems to have a similar set of things but you have more effects on the Kemper right? Same gapless switching?

HX Stomp still has way more versatility compared to all these things too.

One thing that is neat is they included capture ability which ToneX doesn’t have (creating captures without additional hardware). But that would only be a smart idea if NDSP had a marketplace where people could sell captures and they get a percentage. Or if you could freely distribute like Kemper.

I don’t know why it’s not a flexible single path of the QC, unless they went cheap on the cpu. You can run dual amps and effects in whatever order, or run lots of captures.

I dunno it will probably work for some people but I think it’s too nerfed to really draw more people into the QC world.

They are literally selling this as a complete rig solution.
Marketing blurb though, pointless putting any weight into that.

“you can capture your rig and add a few fx”=FULL RIG as far as marketing is concerned, for most people that’s going to be all they need. It’s a capture player that’s designed to be added to an existing rig.
That's all fine and dandy. But why don't they just focus on that functionality?
because guitarists are idiots, and having quick access to a basic pitch shift or delay is enough to convince someone to open their wallet and jump ship from a tonex. It’s just easier to market if it has little cherries on top.
As said before, if the NC was a box allowing me to run dual captures and an IR, I'd be pretty interested. But I just don't need the onboard FX and for anything emergency I'm sorted just fine already.
So it’s very close to what you want (depending on your definition of dual captures). The FX are minimal enough to not get in your way.

Onboard capturing is huge. I really don't understand why people can't wrap their head around that 🤣

Also, QC captures are so much better than Kemper profiles (especially for high gain) imo

Not throwing shade at NDSP trying to have their cake and eat it too - because most companies do the same. But they said what they said.

I think by far the biggest issue with the NQC is the lack of a proper marketplace. Yes captures you make yourself will always be superior, but I think 90% of users won’t bother with that.

Compare Kemper and Tone X that have a huge library of top quality captures/profiles vs Neural, where you’re at the mercy of the tat on the cloud more or less.

All of those use cases have other products that do the same thing with more features for the same or less money (or a little more in the case of the Stomp, which shits all over this thing for functionality). Unless you realllly want a specific capture or reeeealllly want to buy NDSP, it’s not the most feature rich tool for any of those jobs.
I don't disagree. But the NC is definitely a new contender on the block, and their amp capture quality might be enough to swing people away from the other options.

TBH... there is zero reason myself or @MirrorProfiles or even anyone else here who has a good interface a decent enough room and a mic preamp, to not be able to make captures that compete with anything you'd get on a marketplace. Tonejunkie?? More like.. Tonespunkie!!

No, it's not. If at all, I wanted this to replace my core sounds. And apart from a totally clean sound, in 90% of all cases, my core sounds are a combination of a (switchable!) dirt box and an amp.

I can see it being huge for some people, but it’s useless for others. It would be completely useless to me.

What would be most useful is access to libraries of high quality Captures done by others.

I didn’t hear any Capture that sounded any better than Profiles when I had one, but I wasn’t using high gain

Wouldn't you just make captures of your amp, dirtboxes, and then amp+dirtboxes combinations and throw them into the device????

Oh for me, it was night and day. I don't even mean other peoples, I just mean doing my own. I had the Kemper side-by-side with the QC back in 2021, and to me it was extremely clear that the Kemper was quite far away from the source amp, and the QC was a lot closer. Taken in broader context, I'd put the accuracy hierarchy like this:

1. NAM
2. ToneX (but on advanced training)
3. QC
4. ToneX (on fast training)
5. Kemper
