Are you excited to get yours or has this crowd soured it 🤣

This crowd?.....
Makes me want to see Neural succeed like crazy with it.
Just like they did with the Quad.

For the record pretty much 90% of the tones I have heard from this thing are very good

My only fear is how it will sound bypassing the IR/Cab and going direct.
That's where the Tonex kinda stumbled after a bit. Same with the Amperium.

The Quad was :chef killer:chef used DI so I got high hopes.

So are you saying removing a baked in cab from a capture? I don't think the NC (and I know for a fact the QC) can do that. Only way to do that is to capture a DI

Each preset has a 5 option IR slot which can be turned off so I'm assuming all the amp captures are DI.

The simple fact that at that size and price point has the capability to capture its a GAME CHANGER!

You never let us done Nicolas :) Never stop ..... :)

My ruthless and honest opinion. PART 1

Probably %95 or more of people .... not including most people here on TGF ...... as witnessed with the Kemper and Tonex ....

(a) never bother to Capture their own gear
(b) don't have the gear to properly capture their own rig wells
(c) haven't got a clue about gain-staging a Capture
(d) have little to no idea about how to dial-in a useable tone
(e) the Profile / Capture market is already pretty much owned by Kemper and Tonex and is well and truly already over-saturated
(f) kids in their basement bedrooms are too busy null-testing NAM and screaming out that its better than everything if only people would listen to them and
(g) all of the above.

Oh ... and what is actually "Cortex" about this ?

The whole idea here is for NDSP to "apple'ize" Captuing via their eventual store via selling small-paid - probably single amp packs - made by "pro's" whilst NDSP takes a decent cut out of each sale.

Nothing wrong with that ... it just is what it is.

Just my 5c

All the best Nicolas :)

Ben

Was just subjecting myself to NDSP's deep dive video for the NC and man, this thing is not intuitive at all 😥

And i don't mean "oh, it has a learning curve", but "i haven't used this feature in a month so now i have no idea where to find it". Even the phone app navigation's icky.

Honestly, surprising coming from the QC, which is extremely intuitive to navigate without ever touching a manual.

It's not intuitive? Have you used anything made by Fractal?

In the Anderton video they went through captures with cabs baked in so you will need to ensure to bypass the IR. It can run both DI and Amp/Cab caps
but can you do that ? I know most of the capture guys selling have DI and cab loaded captures in their packs

my understanding is you can't remove a Cab if it baked in , if you want to use an Ir or Neural cab you need a direct

Sorry not trying to confuse lol

In NDSP land there are 2 types of amp captures

1) DI
2) Amp Head and Cab

In the NC you can load one of the other into the capture slot. You cannot remove the cab from #2 (Amp Head and Cab) but the IR block in the chain will need to be deactivated to ensure you aren't doubling up on speakers. That's what I meant by ensuring you disable the IR.

Hard psd if that’s so
are you going to use more than 4 presets though ? , and if you are at home you can go through as many as like , the 4 presets is if you are going live , you should probably wait though and see what Fractal has coming up possibly next week
