There was! It's available in the YouTubez.

Thanks. I could have just checked myself. Like I said, not sure why I asked. I’ve watched a combined 30 seconds from episodes 1 and 2, and that was enough.

Stuck at the kiddo’s swim class and being chatty. Wake me with a link to the owner’s manual lol.

They're not really that small of a company though.

103 people is quite large for the music tech industry. FXpansion at its height was at most 16 people. I think when I was at ROLI worldwide the company was about 200 people; which was quite impressive really considering they were $50m in the red!!!

I know other companies who are much smaller, and also much much larger too. The likes of Native Instruments, Yamaha, etc. Those companies dwarf most other MI ones.

Still... 103 aint to be sniffed at and I definitely can believe that they've silo'd off and ringfenced development resources for each product platform they develop on. Other companies tend to work on a squad basis, where squads are moved from project to project at the whim of the development managers and directors; and this can work, but you need to be aware that your staff are going to quite often has specialist skills in some areas that another developer or designer won't necessarily be able to fill the gap for.

All in all - I can imagine that the main QC team is about 10-15 people, if we said 8 devs, 5 QA, and two product people... and that NC will be another team of a similar size. But I'm just TOTALLY guessing there; those numbers are just completely made up.

I was putting some info together for a video I never bothered to make about their output and how slow it is. If you overlay all the plugin releases/updates alongside the QC stuff it actually makes a reasonably solid stream. There seems to be times that QC is the focus and other times back to back plugins happen. I feel like this can't be a coincidence and even if there's silo'd teams to get the bulk of work done it somehow seems to funnel through and choke up time.

Even now, the obvious recent time sink has been finalising and releasing PCOM and im sure the finishing touches on the new device. There hasn't been a new plugin released in 11-12+ months now, it seems to be the way it goes.

the BEST part of this entire film is the last 3 minutes

if they had spared us an hour and just released that clip of Dan going to TINA,, and ending it there with NOW time to show the world.
and released the product video . the next day , that would have be actually quit cool IMO

Could be that 80 of those people are designers and middle management. No idea tbh!

Hah yeah no idea either really. To me it would make the most sense that there's a lead team who has their fingers in everything and all roads lead there at some point. Hopefully we get a proper reveal video tomorrow... something of substance.

We'll know soon enough and hopefully its a very-much-more-non-b.s-hyped release than the QC was ...... but ..... is anyone else noticing that watching these 2 videos gives their soul dialarhoea ?

I'm guessing Mitch's "hit the release" button finger must be being controlled by a hefty does of Clonazepam ..... the desire to release first runs deep in Mitch ;)
