I feel like I'd have to be all or nothing with Strandberg. Like I'd need to get rid of all my guitars and just have a collection of Strandbergs. Which wouldn't be all that bad...something like the Plini, an HSS version, and the Tele one.
I have the Plini Salen and an HSS (RESQ: D Canvas). And a Prog 7. And a Metal 8. And an older Fusion.i love me some Strandberg lol

I also have some other guitars but am in the process of slowly getting rid of most of them.

Fork it over.

It's hard to remember how I felt about the cosmetics early on.
My first one, the Plini was bought used from someone on Reverb so I guess that says something.

100% have grown to really like the sleek modern Speed Racer looks of them.
Makes a great Ying to the Kenai's Yang imo!

Still not digging what they look like.
The Salen (single cut) I felt less fugly....but the ergonomics made it my go to sitting on my butt and recording.

So much so I got another 8 with tru-temp board.

Digging that almost as much.
Thinking of getting a 7 now.

Neural: "The most powerful mini modeler!"
Fractal: "Hold my beer..."
if I am Cliff and I have a really great product ready to go , I would launch it Tommorrow after NDSP airs the act 3 of WTF did I just watch
like after lunch

That would be like a slap in the head with a wet towel right before you finish with yer lady

Given we kind of know when the official product lauch video will go live, if I were Fractal / Cliff ..... I would let them launch ... take the "heat" if its not well received .... let the air clear for 4 - 5 days ...and then launch their Product ..... unless of course Fractals product is a Load Box with some EFX and Dynacabs built in :(

Just that the two products likely haven't got anything to do with each other. I mean, Cliff said on this very forum that it wouldn't be anything to replace your modeling hardware. But even a small size modeler would be just that.

Well .... even if its an ... FM0, FM1, FM2, FM6 or Full Axe 3 MK II Turbo on the Floor .... none of these would replace any existing units ... just like the full Rack Helix doesn't replace or invalidate the Full Floor Helix .... almost identical product for totally different buyers and uses.

Nah. Any modeler is a replacement for any other modeler in one way or the other. I think it's absolutely clear that Cliff wasn't talking about a new iteration of a FAS modeling device.

What he said was a little more nuanced than that. He said it wasn’t a replacement of anything in their product line. Helix LT was not a replacement of Helix Floor in their product line when it was released - just another product rleleased alongside it.

They COULD be launching AxeFx III touch edition and as long as they had no plans to discontinue the current mark II Turbo unit, it would still be in agreement with what he had to say.

I think I have possibly figured this one out , either that photo is a photoshop of a dark glass pedal or the Nano is based on it

Check out some of the dark glass pedals
- same size as the bigger ones
- leds around the encoder
- 5 leds to indicate stored presets
- blue tooth
- mobile app
Just remove the middle button and move the encoders
This would allow them to use all the same parts chassis and design

Sure. We could now possibly have a longwinding debate about when and how the term "replacement" applies (for instance: in my case, the Stomp has absolutely replaced the Floor, but I do of course perfectly understand how it's not exactly - or even remotely - a literal replacement), but we could as well just wait and see.

Fwiw, personally, if FAS was about to come out with a smaller footprint version of their amp modeling, maybe even completely without any FX but at a competetive price, I'd be pretty interested. As far as the Nano Cortex goes, so far I'm not.
