Someone bloody stop Leon

Everything about this video sounds amazing

What's he playing through? Assuming axe fx but sometimes he mixes it up and I didn't catch it at the beginning

This looks and sounds so nice, but the Immerse was one of the biggest letdown pedals I’ve ever bought, which made me hesitant on this. The Immerse is not a bad pedal in any way, and so many people swear by it, but there was some shimmer vibe lurking on everything, (on the tails) and the way the verbs sat with the guitar always felt abstracted in some weird way. They definitely have a sheen to them that’s either insta love or hate Imo.

I have to agree with the preeminent take you posted here. Strymon has some of that sheen, too. :idk
Maybe a different sheen. Are there different "sheens?" Not sure if it is spicier, or creamier, or a lower-calorie
sheen. Maybe Martin Sheen? Or just your every Sun-day, P&W, "Take me to Heaven on the Tails of
Reverb" sheen.

I've always liked the sound of the ILLUMINE, although I thought it was priced just a little above what I was prepared to pay when it was released. Especially as I thought it might be an FV-1 based pedal (based on the 100mA power requirements).

Odd thing, seeing this pop up here is that a bunch of you seem excited by it today; but shortly after its release there was tumbleweeds and nobody seemed to be interested in talking about it at all... so I'm doubly surprised.

Just wondering why people lost interest in it before?

Well you see, Leon really knows how to make everything sound good so surely this pedal will make me sound good....right??

Life moves fast in the pedal game. :p

I think when someone respected like Leon demos something it just gets it back to the top of everyone’s mind.

@2112 have you ever tried the Immerse?

Mate. Everybody knows it's what Strymon has. Based on the Telephone Game genius knowledge transfer process at TOP™.

Now that Strymon sheen you can inject directly into my veins. :ROFLMAO:

wtf is sheen?

@Mongillo19 yep, Axe-Fx. ODS clean for the cleaner stuff, Mark IV for high gain and some of the Brit 800 2203 for the crunchy stuff. It makes doing stereo demos so easy.

@Whizzinby this is actually the first thing I've tried from them. They've been on the radar for a while (seems like they were quite popular 5-7 years ago?) but I hadn't heard much about them otherwise. The format for the Illumine makes it a really nice "sidecar" option for someone who wants to offload reverb duties on something like an FM3 or Stomp.

tl;dr...

That one chord stab from Walking On The Moon sounded amazing, too. (Though the bass notes, not so much for whatever reason?)

Is there an emerging theme here? Am I "over the moon" for the Illumine? :D

I need to learn the “Bark At The Moon” riff the way Leon plays it. I’ve been doing it the JEL way and the stretches are just a nightmare because I refuse to wear my guitars any higher than my belt. :rofl

The day I brought the Shiva home and plugged my Strat into it, I felt compelled to play that riff almost immediately.
