Rumor mill: John Mayer plugin coming soon?

Is it gauche and bougie if I say, I couldn't give a single solitary fuck about this, and my very posting in this thread is just the height of pointlessness and wankery?

Some of the worst UI design I've seen as well. Utterly awful compared to their other plugins. Looks cheap and tacky.

Fwiw, while I have absolutely no need for this thing, the Antelope Filter sounds just gorgeous. Don't know of any filter that smooth on guitar signals in software land.
I want that in a hardware unit - what's the original Mayer used for the intro on "I Don't Trust Myself", anyone knows?

Curious how this compares against the UA Paradise…

I think overall UA is more realistic, but this plugin does a great job at delivering what it promises.

What really bugs me is that playing the Neural stuff overall isn't as satisfying as the UA stuff, seems to have a limited dynamic range. UA responds better IMO.

As far as I know or was the Adrenallin pedal. Not sure which version. This pedal has a lot of weird sounds, he has actually used quite a few different sounds from it over the years.

On the plugin though someone pointed out that on the Rich Beato interview the NDSP guy said they had modeled a Qtron, so maybe that's what it is based on.

Yes and yes, but it sounds like you already know that :giggle: .

I think their hands were tied here. They had to stick with a plain retro look to match the vibe of the tones, so they couldn't do anything like the more interesting graphical designs they've done on others.

As much as I dislike the limitations of the UA stuff, it did sound good, and is a far better value.

Yeah, this guy here is coming kinda close, he's using a Micro Q-Tron and says it works better for him than the bigger version:

But given the parameter set in the plugin, I think it's more likely that it's the Q-Tron Plus - the sound in the video isn't as smooth as what I've heard from the plugin, either (too much resonance and too quacky release).
Damn huge pedal - I needed that with a smaller form factor.
