Rectos don't Mark and Mark's don't recto, and trying to make that happen with either is just setting yourself up for failure and disappointment.... imo of course. They're like opposite amps basically

Not when they’re cranked up and on stage. They actually compliment each other really well. I played in a band where I had a Triaxis 2:90 and the other guitarist had a triple rec with a TS out front, and the amps together were better than one or the other on it’s own. Not as dissimilar as you’d think at volume either.

Sadly for us, this is more often the case than not for your average listener. The non-guitarists in the crowd DGAF at all and are probably more likely to perceive the overall quality of your rig based on your guitar’s paint job.
