Yeah it really did (if I don't think about all the money), I should probably post a new thread about it.

Cliff's notes:
Got shafted by FedEx - "insurance" doesn't mean shit to them
Paid $700 for repairs, converting the 5881s to EL34, and to recone the Blackbacks
Combo sounded like poop
Had my guy build a headshell and put the empty fawn combo in storage
Ran the head into my Dr Z 2x10 cab with Greenbacks and it sounded awesome
Had my guy build me a 2x12 cab with Neo Creambacks - sounds and feels like Marshall half stack perfection
It's as happy an ending as any oriental massage parlor!

Forgot to take any for my last few gigs. Found one from a few years back, running w/d/w. Don't remember exactly what I had on the floor, probably a small midi controller and MXR Phase 90 and EVH Flanger.

I have massive Eventide wood now.
