PastFX Chorus Ensemble mn3007

No idea! :idk

Been busy with lots of cool synthy/keys stuff keeping me from investigating other cool stuff.

Weather is also magnificent here, so I have been trying to catch up on some outdoor
chores before the proverbial shit hits the fan and winter is upon us.

There's no doubt I'll dig such an highly recommended pedal. Hopefully soonish! :beer

The trees will still be there tomorrow. Get your ass inside and play some Police.

The PastFx CE-1 landed back on the pedalboard this weekend.

Mine is an early version marked “prototype” on the serial number sticker and I’ve wondered whether it was fully featured. I finally opened it up to see if it had any of the factory mods and it has all of them. I’m running it with the volume pot mod and true bypass engaged.

I have to echo earlier impressions that this is the best chorus circuit on the planet. The preamp is worth the price alone but I can’t get over how lush the chorus is. It’s almost its own instrument it’s such a vibe.

I would def be interested in the Px100 if they made one. I've got the Elastic Mattress, TD-Y and the Patriarch. Verlie builds great stuff.

Definitely. Totally on board with their reissues of old classics, as well as all the Buffalo FX dirt and OD
they also put out. :banana

On the board. Lift off in 3 .... 2 .... and .....

flying lets go GIF by John Artur

Well, the Phase 90 is legendary for a reason. It sounds great, and without 3 dozen controls.
I missed it instantly.

I am going to give the Phase V another go. It's more pulsey like a Trem and not as wooshy
as the Phase 90. Yes, those are both very technical terms. :beer

Figuring out how to be more patient with gear. In the past if I didn't love something instantly it
was gone. I am sure there are some cool and inspiring saounds in that box. Just have to find them,
and not expect it to be Phase 90 great.

Bumping - decent Black Friday deals at PastFx. I just finally snagged that Hot For Flanger I’ve been crying about for ages.
How did the Hot For Flanger turn out? I’ve been kicking around the idea of getting one for the occasional VH cover. I almost pulled the trigger on the MXR RI a few times, but sometimes try to look for feedback on the PastFX model.

I've been thinking of which chorus pedal to add and figured I'd just snag a Boss CE-5 or something, it's not my favorite effect and I only use it on cleans, but after watching Leon's demo of it I think it makes sense to add the PastFX to my board. I dig the Tremelo effect as well and it's cute.

I've been really fighting this myself. I am surprised you aren't jonesing for a No More Tears vibe?

I have been looking at the CH-1 per James as my Nu-X CE clone turd is all phase and no fun. I know I can throw the FM whatever in the loop and get it with about 5 different chorus models instantly but I want to succeed in the challenge of doing it with individual pedals! I am a step away from ordering the TC Dimension clone to see if it's something I want to upgrade to the real deal for at $150-200 level.

Shit....I wasn't until you mentioned it. :rofl That's the SPX-90, I think the Magic Stomp is the only thing that has that in a pedal format, without using the Fractal stuff. I'll have to make do with a regular chorus. Shit, maybe I can start bugging PastFX about recreating just the SPX90 in a pedal, that'd be pretty slick and I'd absolutely get my hands on that.

It does seem that the $150+ area is where you can break into the "Probably a safe bet" land, or at least stuff can be resold without taking a huge hit at that point.

Yeah the Dimension waza is where I think I will land? There is a Black Label chorus here locally but kind of feel like it isn't going to be the magic chorus bullet I hope it to be

I know Line 6 has said why, but it is still weird to me that the Helix stuff doesn't have any of these famous Yamaha rack FX sound in them considering the Yamaha connection. So many people are looking for those sounds; there have been multiple pedals based around emulating Soft Focus, and I bet they'd at least sell a lot of HX Ones based purely on having a model of that and Symphonic.
