In my lifetime I've never even considered there even a remote twat hair of a possibility of McDonald's ever faltering, but when I drive by one these days there's hardly ever more than a car or two there, if that.

I now anxiously await the day they close the fuck down. Perfect example of how to run something, that was purely, and 100% ENGRAINED in the American psyche, straight into the ground.

I'm loving it.

A lot of areas have raised the minimum wage to unsustainable levels, which is really hurting restaurants. Prices go up, sales slow down, hours get cut, and everybody loses.

Maybe they need to launch a hail Mary with a "47 Happy Meal" (bobble head included) ;~)) I have not eaten there since I was about 16 EXCEPT for the fries, but have not even had one of their potatoes in decades! Hope I don't get banned for this and please do not expand on this, just an innocent little joke between the lines!

Yeah, we had a new law passed a few years ago that raised the minimum wage extra for restaurants with 30 or more locations. Our favorite local family owned pizza place was a few over, and they couldn't compete with the other pizza places if they had to pay more than the competition, so they ended up closing a few locations, including the one nearest me, so they could get down to 29. A bunch of the national chain places closed locations as well, Pizza Hut, Wendy's, McDonalds, Tim Hortons, KFC and proably more I didn't notice. No one is better off. Not the owners, not the employees who lost their jobs, not the land lords, not the customers, and not the state county and towns that lost tax revenue. But the wealthy politicians who passed it felt really good about themselves for how much they helped the poor restaurant workers they fucked over.
