I made the 13 year mark before I left one as well. Then the 5-6 year cycles began.

I think that's optimistic. I think the longest I've worked for the same company has been 7 years, and that's only because the previous company was bought. Been 3.5 years in the current one.

IT companies are incredibly stupid that they don't want to give you raises, so you have to swap companies to increase your salary.
