I've been a cat rescuer since 1990, when I fostered a kitten found in a box with his dismembered siblings @ a Thousand Oaks cemetery.
At this point my wife & I have placed almost 1k cats (mostly kittens), currently adopting out litters 7 & 8 from young, pregnant mothers we rescued ~ The last 3 years has been brutal due to asshats that ran out & grabbed pets during the lockdowns, but didn't bother to get them "fixed", later dumping them like a disposable toy.
