NGD: PRS SE DGT (was: Suitable Locking Tuners for PRS SE)

Fwiw, I think it's a really bad move of PRS to ship the DGT without locking tuners. I mean, way cheaper vibrato-equipped guitars come with them these days, most PRS guitars as well. And I think pretty much anyone wants them anyway.
Wouldn't be half as bad if it was standard dimensions - but as is, it's possibly just the PRS ones that fit. Which might be ok, but it's not just that - because as the stock tuners are having the same unusual dimensions, you'll likely not find any good use for them, so straight into the trash they go. What a waste.
I'd rather pay 50 bucks on top, wouldn't have to worry about sourcing parts and wouldn't waste ressources.

I completely agree, but alas all SE's come with non-locking tuners.

Yeah I agree - I think all the Schecters come with locking tuners.

Even Harley Bentons for less than half the price come with locking tuners (and stainless steel frets and a Babicz Trem).

Totally agree. I can't imagine the OEM cost to upgrade to all locking is that much, if the MAP is $109.

Add to this that very likely most people are like me, as in happily willing to pay, say, an extra 50 bucks for the comfort of locking tuners.

I definitely want to get locking tuners on my se nf53

Same goes for my S2 594. I get that the 594 is supposed to be a more “vintage” model but still seems like a cop out that it’s one of the few USA models (s2 or core) that doesn’t come stock with locking tuners

I did. Didn’t even have it a week, without locking tuners.
