Woah!! Blown away by this guitar! :pickle :grin :banana

Some of you know that I contacted GC's "online platinum" wienies - as I'd been waiting for this new green "Kokiri Forest" JR to show up at the Atlanta store. They usually get all the new EBMM's, lickety split. Well, not this time. Platinum peeps said they didn't expect these to ever go out to stores. Ok, sure . They gave me pics of two I could choose from. I picked one and they sent the other one. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Regardless, this baby showed up today and the top is more betterer than I could've imagined! In person it's mind bogglingly gorgeous! I believe it was @TSJMajesty and @ᛗᛜᛜᚺDᛜᎶ Ꮤᛨᚳᚴ (who's name is really hard to mention with the @:cuss) that thought it was a one piece top, which I thought was nigh impossible on a regular production EBMM sent to a GC. I can't find a seam so I agree with them. Crazy top, and getting a one piece is amazing!

Typical EBMM, I've had nothing but perfection from the four I've had. Can't say enough good about the brand and their support, if you ever need it.

Gave it a quick setup, had a lot of relief, high action and a wee back-tilt on the trem. Typical for any brand that's come into my house. Getting some buzz on the A string, frets are 100% level - so I'm perplexed, may just be acclimating yet.

Fret ends are primo, perfect fretwork - no doubt! No nut pinging when tuning.

Haven't had a lot of time to play it but the neck is pretty thin and easy for me to adjust to. Pickups are uncovered EBMM HT, supposedly customized for this Jason Richardson model. Need to do some back to back with my Sabre (covered HT pickups)! Initial impression would be moderately high output (not overly high) and great clarity. I'm sure I'm going to love the pickups.

This top is trippy, can only imagine what it would look like stoned! In person you can really make out the wood textures, which are all over the place and unique. Kind of like a field of weed blowing in the wind?

And the important part, my four balls! :knit:clint:idea:wat

Yeah, that top is EXCEPTIONAL, I would love her LONG time! Congrats again on that great score!! Glad GC finally got it right!!! And, oh my, what big balls you have ;~))
Thank you very much and for noticing! :roflAnd I was worried, the whole way up until I had the case open! GC gonna do whatever they can to fuck things up - but in the end, they did me right.

I have 3 myself. 2 Silhouette Specials ('97, '99) and a 2012 Luke III w/solid rosewood neck. EXCELLENT guitars ! :chef
Absolutely excellent. They are currently the most represented in my guitars, love them all!

They’re not yours, they’re Ernie’s. Says so right on the headstock. :D

Nice set!
Thank you very much! Well, they are all paid for, can't I keep them?

That thing looks amazing dude! Congrats! What’s the nut width?
Thank you very much, definitely lucked into this one! Nut width is 1-11/16"

I love how that grain tightens up near the bottom, and in a few other places. That top is just SO cool!! And ooh, it's got binding too. Schweet!

That is one badass-looking Wall-O-Balls! :beer

Congratulations!
Thank you very much! Blown tf away here! Yeah, it's a cool quasi-reflective green binding, and done in a way unlike any I've ever had.

That top is gorgeous! So much more unique than the one they originally sent you. Love it!
Thank you very much! I know! Now you see why I wanted this one! Still feel bad for not loving the other one, but hey, what's a dude to do?

I WANT YUR BALLS!
Hehe, you're tickling them now! :grin

One of the best tops I've seen in a while! Congrats! Play it in good health :beer
Thank you very much, same here! It's like a Van Gogh painting!

Damn dude! Glad it worked out for you. That's a beauty! :love

Here's a celebration song just for you:

Thank you very much! So am I, so am I! And outstanding choice on a guitar anthem! I remember giggling non-stop when that song came out.

If I remember correctly my brother had that on 45 or 8-track. :rofl
Thought that was the funniest thing as a kid.
There was a local band back in my gigging days that always did that song.

It was a female fronted band and she was hot.. and her singing that song was super hot.
