He's admitted before that recording engineers always tell him to tone it back but he just likes it wet lolExactly, just choose any 5150 amp model and drown it in a shitton of delay - et voilà, there's your Archetype HevyDevy.

Pretty sure that's correct. Their lamest plugin suite imho.I think it might just be Abasi X
All this build up for a plugin update?Pretty sure that's correct. Their lamest plugin suite imho.
It's NDSP we're talking about so..All this build up for a plugin update?
All this build up for a plugin update?
That's my pointRelatively speaking ..... lots and lots and lots of $$ for a new NDSP Plugin .... sweet f*ck-all dollars for an X-Port.

They kept claiming (somehow) that cross-platform support for presets was the hard part. Which, I dunno... Maybe it's hard the first time, getting the user interface and underlying file system in place; but thereafter - provided the amp/effects blocks actually sound and interact similarly - it's just a conversion process. Tedious intern work at the very worst, and one would hope it could be automated besides. If they did, it still takes a helluva long time for them to port their plugins. My guess is that even if a lot of the algorithms are the same, they either have to optimize them for the QC DSP or there's at least a lot of other work involved.
I guess we'll see when the new one launches and how long it will take for a compatible version to come out.
Working hard or hardly working? It's most likely a "the QC devs are working hard on to port plugins X and Y and don't have time to pivot to port new plugin Z" situation.
Knee-deep in tech debt is my guess. So working hard on things that have zero visibility to the end user.Working hard or hardly working?![]()
Like... their second jobs, with the actual paychecks?Knee-deep in tech debt is my guess. So working hard on things that have zero visibility to the end user.

Meh.
Oh, yes please. If there's one thing the QC lacks, is instrumental prog metal amp tones.
Yupp my wallet is happy lol5150 and pedals.
The Rhythm amp seems to be a blend of 2 amps (5150 and something else I guess? Invective maybe) and the Lead one seems to be British-voiced; my guess is it's based on the Dover DA50 since Misha was a big fan of that amp.Yupp my wallet is happy lol
