NDSP Quad Cortex

Yupp my wallet is happy lol
The Rhythm amp seems to be a blend of 2 amps (5150 and something else I guess? Invective maybe) and the Lead one seems to be British-voiced; my guess is it's based on the Dover DA50 since Misha was a big fan of that amp.

Another timeless classic

I know Mansoor is know for recording with Pod in the past, but was/is he a Helix user? Because that "Glitch pedal" is straight up HX's Glitch Delay.

As usual with recent NDSP releases, it looks like a very fine plugin, but pretty much all of these sounds are already available elsewhere.

This just makes me think of the last time I got "got" by Misha Mansoor.

It's defunct now, but Joey Sturgis Tones made a signature Misha Toneforge plugin many years ago that was a steaming hot pile of poop. Definitely in the bottom three of plugins I've ever purchased.

Glitch is kind of interesting. But Helix Native has an exceptional glitch delay effect, and many ways to fuck up and stutter your sound.

The rest of the effects aren't lighting my pants on fire.

The post delay should really say 'Designed By TC Electronic' on it lmao.

I know it is minor, but the amp graphics are a significant downgrade from other archetype plugins. In fact, I don't really like the aesthetic of this plugin at all.

Doesn't even look like proper PBR textures lol

Looks like slightly weathered powder-coated steel / anodized aluminum, i really dig that look.

Man, i wish amp manufacturers were bolder with their design choices.

Is this like 5150 # 297 they've added to the QC world?
If we’re counting, it’s definitely still less 5150’s than Fractal. I think too many people have claimed amps they’ve modelled are 5150’s which are actually something else (like Plini/Abasi etc) and the myth gets repeated until it’s true. If there’s a 5150II that’d be fairly worthwhile IMO.
