NAM support announced by Fractal Audio

I've always preferred Fractal over Line 6, but I've been tempted to preorder the Stadium. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the Stadium (with modeling, proxy, and all the GUI and workflow enhancements) will compare to the next generation of Fractal hardware (with modeling, NAM support, and unknown GUI and workflow enhancements).

I'm surprised that people are surprised by this. NAM is basically commodity at this point. The code is open-source.

By the time the next gen comes out, there will be better stuff than NAM. as long as they can plot out blocks for open source.

I see. But I didn’t ask whether they would add it — I asked whether it would be feasible or possible.

If they did, they’d probably take a substantial share of the Tonex market. If the VP4 could be used as a NAM loader, I probably wouldn’t have bought my OG Tonex pedal and two Tonex One pedals. And the next generation will probably sell like hotcakes based on the new white box modeling alone, which is Fractal’s stated main focus — with NAM support added only as spice, or as an alternative.

(I still love my VP4 without NAM functionality, of course.)

I have no doubt there will be better alternatives than what we see today (which are great alternatives), but NAM will also evolve and improve in the meantime.

Absolutely not a problem - you do very well in hiding your non-native language skills. And honestly, I don't think 'native' means anything really, as most 'natives' are pretty bad at English.

IMHO, the whole NAM thing is probably the single most overhyped trend that has infected the internet in years. Throw it on the fucking shelf with point to point and true bypass.
