My first impression of HX Stomp

All. Presets. Suck.© but that one was Igor, I believe. I avoid programming factory presets because mine are all for sitting in my really dense doomgazey mixes, which makes them sound like butt by themselves.

Anything dialed in to sound good in a mix is going to sound like ass by itself, regardless of the genre.

@Los-D i am checking out the other Line 6 originals and they are pretty cool. The names are forgettable though so I’m not sure which one to say that I liked it. 😄

It's a cool unit, nice and compact, good effects. Still not a big fan of many of their amp models, at least thats what I remember when I borrowed one a year or so ago - unless the modeling has improved since then..

4 months with the HX Stomp. The new Super Reverb is pretty sweet. I can dial in a great guitar tone for recording but I suck at bass tones. Anyone have a nice crossover split bass tone with a little grit up top and punch at the bottom? It’s eluding me.

Tonex is still more fun.

In some time from now modeling was a phase for all of us and we end up with real amps and a pedalboard.

What the definition of a real amp will be is open for discussion.

I started with real amps and a pedalboard, because that's all there was back then. Got my first digital unit in 1994, and have used both equally for a very long time.
