Tonex had me up and running in 5 minutes. I’m still working on tones for the HX Stomp. Are you capturing your own amps with ToneX?
If you're talking just like, scrolling through presets, 100% ToneX is gonna be more fun.

Yeah, if you're doing the five-minute test, especially if its your first big boy modeler, it's gonna be a while before you feel like you have a clue what you're doing. Not dumb.Tonex had me up and running in 5 minutes. I’m still working on tones for the HX Stomp.

I ran a Roland GP-100 as my main rig from the mid-90s until about 2015. All the editing is on a two row LCD. I do think the HX Stomp is about 7 lightyears beyond that one.Yeah, if you're doing the five-minute test, especially if its your first big boy modeler, it's gonna be a while before you feel like you have a clue what you're doing. The big difference between something like that and something like the Stomp is that the preamp in that Roland had a sound; you figured out its sound and learned how to dial it in. Big Boy modelers take a while to find a collection of amps you want to focus on, and then a little while to figure out the secrets to dialing each of those in. Yeah, I really like the US Double Vib and the Solo Lead OD so far. The US Princess is good, too.The big difference between something like that and something like the Stomp is that the preamp in that Roland had a sound; you figured out its sound and learned how to dial it in. I’m comparing two cabs, one with a 57 straight on and one at 45°, with an IR recorded with two mics using the Fredman technique.
I know 45° is wrong for the Fredman technique (should be 55°) but it’s all I can do with the Cab block. Regardless, it sounds really nice.
The IR is a marginally better. More importantly, it’s one less block. Is there a way to put two mics on a cab block?
