Looks like prices went up… must have been in the last couple days. I’ve been looking at the Modified amps (they went up before even being available).

$3449 for the Modified 800 (was $3299)
$3849 for the Modified 1959 (was $3699)

Silver Jubilee now $1999 (I got one about 2 months ago at $1899).

JVM410H is $1999 also. Pretty sure it was also $1899.

The 2203 is now $2899. (Was 2699 and earlier this year 2299 even). 1959HW is at $3299 (was $2999).

Ceriatone is still building better Marshalls for a lot less. Unless you really need the badge on the front to say Marshall, I would look a number of places before spending $3000 on a HongShan amp that happens to have the rights to use the Marshall name

Yeah I agree. I love Marshall amps but I doesn't make sense to pay their new prices here in the US. The EU prices are still pretty reasonable but as far as the US market, they're pricing themselves out of it.

I don't even think it's import fees because Laney manages to sell an UK made 120w, 3-channel amp for $1799 in the US and there's no way a simple 2203 has a higher production or import cost.

The company is just poorly managed now and probably not very interested in guitar amplifiers anymore, the bulk of their business is Bluetooth headphones and speakers these days.

Oh well. I'm happy to give business to Nik at Ceriatone. Or even Friedman and Suhr for the higher end stuff. As for Marshall, I'll buy them used.

Even cheaper if you build it yourself. I'm thinking of getting a 50w 68 Plexi kit and trying it out. Been watching YT videos, I'm decent at soldering, and know how a meter works. Doesn't look too bad.

If you can solder and use a screwdriver, and you can be patient and follow directions, it is not bad at all. I built a Plexi 51 All Access when they were way back ordered and I have another P 51 kit I still need to assemble. That’s a step up from a straight 68, but really just a few more switches.

I have no problem with any of that. I just checked the 51AA and that's the one I'll probably get. For about the same price, you have access to all the Plexi versions. No Brainer...
