Marshall is dead, isn’t it?

Seriously though, If I were to get someone from the UK to pick up a used Marshall amp for me and ship it to me or bring it over the next time they visit, what would be the shipping costs and I assume duties will need to be paid. With the prices in the UK and the current exchange rate, it should still be worth it to ship it and pay the taxes.

Anyone have a clue?

I'd put a rough estimate in the $300 range (+ or - $50)---with that including
enough insurance to cover any loss or damage. :idk

Marshall, why do you hate America?

They're mad at us because of Dave Friedman.

It depends. For a modern Marshall style tone, with a good master volume, great loop etc...sure. But my '77 Super Lead has a rawness and punch that none of the Friedmans I had could touch.

I like the amps, don't get me wrong. But they're their own thing/different animal.

He is pretty pissed at us too for what he charges...

J/K, I know they are worth it, but DAMN!!!

That’s why I’m a bigger fan of George’s stuff. His stuff still keeps the rawness and the raspiness. Dave makes amazing amps, don’t get me wrong. But I haven’t played a Friedman that’s made me want to off my Metroplex.

Can't argue with that. Metro amps are amazing.
