Thanks. The 500pF in red was a typo, I meant 100pF. The switch originally went between none, 100pF, and 500pF (I used 470pF instead) on the bright channel. Now it goes none,100pF, and 5000pF.
It got lost in transit for a couple of days but it finally made it home! Props to the guys at Guitar Center Mesquite TX for going beyond and above for finding the amp and great packaging!!!
Marshall could have done a lot of things instead of putting out amps like the Astoria.
For example...
Real 2 channels 800s, plexis and even jubilee based amps with no shared controls, some voicing options, dual master volume and a nice foot switch.
Or they might have simply expanded the JVM series with a couple of different flavors like a metalhead 210/5 jvm and an hard rock 210/5 with well thought out modes and no reverb.
I’ve been thinking about a Modulus 2204 kit for next year, but might go for one of the Ceriatone Jose-style amps instead. But I kind of want to explore the 1974 18W sound for my lower gain interests.
I noticed the brown and limited edition black Marshall Acoustic combos are both in the sale at Andertons for £199.00 each so bought one and It arrived yesterday
