Line 6 POD Express

Had a chance to fiddle with the editor last night. Very cool. My only wish would be to have a few different cab choices available. Having the 3 flavors of a modern 4x12 (probably V30 loaded) is ok, but I think having a couple different would be awesome. Selfishly I'd replace a few with the Whowatt 100 cab, and maybe the tweed 4x10. It would really up the versatility imo.

Me either. I see Win and Mac. No iOS or Android.
It is now - and works brilliantly on my Pixel 9 Pro Fold, albeit with a handful of overlapping screen elements.

Yep. Found it in Play store on my tablet, installed it andnow need to locate a type C OTG adapter, I think I have one laying about here... somewhere...

I was playing with the Win 10 version earlier, pretty good, although the Save function is a little glitchy and occasionally requires several presses, but it eventually gets there. Nice straightforward GUI with knobs, reminds me of my Fractal editor a bit, I like it. But wth is the "noise" setting in the delay block?

I'd STILL like to have long press sense on FS3 & FS4 to be able to control the other two fx blocks...:grin:hmm

EDIT - cobbled together an adapter cable from tablet type C to PE type C and the app works just fine, this is really cool, I can control it from my tab onstage, I used to do exactly that with my AX8 and FracPad years ago.

This may be an option for FS3/FS4. I have a PE and I'm thinking about one of these.

Cool idea. I already have a detached dual switch for them. How does the one shown connect to the FS3/FS4 jack on top? External cable, I presume?

Go to the link. It shows how to connect it...different pictures. ( below the main photo )

That's what I thought it might do, connect via the baseplate. I like the idea but I already found a hard case that holds the unit + Dunlop DVP4 volume pedal + dual footswitch + cables. But I'll check it out. Thanks!

I just looked at the website. The XL looks perfect for me as it includes a platform spot for the volume pedal, and the ad says it supports the DVP4 so I think I'll pick one up for only $5 more. Maybe it'll all fit in the case I bought, that'd be cool, we'll see.

EDIT - just ordered the XL version, looking forward to receiving it!

If only Pedalnetics could include a strong headphone amp, aux/bluetooth input, and expression input (I guess in place of one of the switches?). Maybe USB power out to power a Widi uHost now that sysex control is feasible

I bought a Pod Express as a gift for my stepdad so he can play inside with headphones instead of being forced by my mom to play in the very hot garage.

I'm giving it to him tomorrow, so I'm auditioning it this evening after updating the firmware. Tons of fun in a small package, and well worth the $150 (on sale) price tag.

Not to get all youtube-linky-Timothy-Bucktooth on yall but damn Jack makes this thing sound great. Dude can play. Link skips the talking, goes straight to the toans:

I have no need for one but damn this would be nice to chuck in the bag as a backup.

This is truly an excellent video on the PE. I have one myself and it's great to have for headphone use or to travel with.
And what I like about this video is...it's not focused on "will it chug" metal riffs. The cleans are really quite good. Well worth the money too !!

As I sit in my Orlando home waiting for hurricane Milton to decend on my domicile, I wish I had held onto the Pod Express I gave as a gift last week to my stepfather.

He called me yesterday with excitement to thank me for ensuring he has a great means of entertainment when our power goes out.

Time for me to pull out my acoustic. :rawk

Stay safe dude.

Maybe I'm spoiled, but after playing a short jam gig with it and then thinking about it, I've one to the conclusion it's a really really nice toy, has some good tones, but without the ability to control all the fx blocks limits the usefulness for me. I suppose that I could run the app on a tablet on my mic stand and control everything that way, but that sort of defeats the purpose. I'd much prefer to do all the switching right on the device. Plus, I really miss not having a compressor, which is one of my most-used fx.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still keeping it, the editor is very useful, unit works fine for non-performance small jams (and I do love that it is battery-powered), and as a backup to my backup FM3.

As a backup to your backup FM3? You're definitely spoiled
