I think if you're going to lecture people on various topics, you should have a demonstrable history and level of experience within that field, otherwise you're just chatting maximum toffee flavoured shite.
While I don't necessarily disagree, JNC being able to write or not be able to write music is immaterial to his viewpoint on Line 6's ability to ship the Stadium. Where he falls apart (as do most other YT pundits) is that he obviously knows fuck-all about the MI gear industry, either from a manufacturing or retail POV. So in that sense, yes, he should shut the fuck up.

Ah well. At least he's not wearing that fucking hat.

It's a fair point.

All of these things are true at once.

Well, at least Cordy is a respectable live player. Sure, function music, but his bands seem pretty decent.
His videos went straight down into clickbait hell, though.
Yeah, if JNC did videos based around "I'm a function player, and this is how these tools and instruments affect my playing and overall experience", I'd be more receptive. But that's not really where he's at, at least not anymore.

Can't agree more.
He seems to be victim of the YT algorithm, unable to find a better way keep his channel alive.
Yeah, probably. That's the fucking path some of these dumbshits chose though. Him, and even worse, Fricker and Henning, are just doing bullshit to keep feeding the algorithm. Or that KDH twit. They've all become unlikable (or even MORE unlikable), because of the endless stream of drivel.

Until Cordy and the like have a Stadium in hand, their hot takes are meaningless. I’ve put the lot of them on unsubscribe/ignore. His channel went south even before Stadium was announced.

JNC was fine early on till he decided to release a video every 10 minutes. His words sort of lost value for me after that. Initially he came across as a helpful, thoughtful musician ... now it's just irritating.

What I don't get, I can't imagine most YTers make any sort of meaningful money from their videos? Especially those in the 10,000s view category. Maybe I'm wrong!

It's a lot of work and for what? Maybe the joy of making videos? But at what point does it stop being enjoyable?

They can make more than you may think with sponsorships and free gear. It also can get them access to gear earlier and access to companies, trade shows etc.

It does seem like a rough way to make a living though. Very hard to sustain and you need to play to the algorithm without turning off your audience.

Not to mention what it YouTube bans you, or otherwise pisses you off enough to leave? Where do you go? Sure, there’s Meta and TikTok. But those are relatively different platforms.

These YouTubers put all their eggs in one volatile basket.

So how does everyone run a wireless with their Helix? I don't use any additional pedals with the Helix, it's standalone on the floor. I have 20ft cables going back to my amps and a 25ft power cable that reaches back a bit further. I want a wireless, but I don't want another long cable run.

That only leaves me with bug receivers that connect directly into the Helix input jack without any power cables. I think my perfect wireless system would have a bug receiver, but a belt pack transmitter. I don't think one exists though. What's everyone else doing?

I have one of the Lekato wireless bugs. My old Shure wireless sounds a lot better but it’s a rack unit. I’m kinda wondering if L6 has a new wireless product coming along with Stadium. Their current wireless stuff has a solid reputation.
