Line 6 Helix Stadium

Let's say there's an alternate dimension where this could ever be possible. From my perspective, Fractal's value is less their world class IP and more Cliff himself. Post acquisition, I could see him getting frustrated with Yamaha's more corporate environment and how slow things move here, cashing out, and we'd be left hanging with amazing IP, but nowhere to go with it. No doubt Fractal has other brilliant engineers, but without Cliff?

Acquisitions are about the people, not the products.
since you threw it out there :)
- people get older and eventually retire
- things become less fun
- people need a change
- money is king
- IP can be purchased but so can professional consulting

I work with a lot of clients that do acquisitions. In many of them the team of people is most important. Even if people turnover, as long as it is slow, there can be a transfer of knowledge, skills and relationships. Most failed acquisitions are because the acquirer failed to manage the people.

There are some acquisitions that are purely about technology, customer base, or getting a trade name. These tend to be focused on much shorter return timeframes.

Hey no new vids today 🥲

Was hoping marketing would have released the higher gain one

Congrats.....you just set it back one more week!

I told you they are savoring the desperation for official modern high-gain clips. Only way we'll ever see it is to stop wanting it publicly.

I dunno, but if you’re buying wolf fridges and have shopped for enough hot tubs that you have a hot tub UI preference I’d say you can afford to upgrade from the Vox tonelab!
I had to Google "wolf fridge". I honestly pictured Tim hunting wolves and storing his kills in the... Oh, never mind.

If Wolf-branded kitchen appliances are so far above my pay grade that I've never even heard of them, does that mean I should cancel my Stadium pre-order?

Fridge is sub zero…wolf is the ovens and ranges/rangetops. Our 25 yr old kitchenaid stuff finally broke down so after a lot of research appliances aren’t built like they were 25 years ago so the lower ones probably wouldn’t last but the true kitchen and the wolf stuff and the Subzero seem to be still well-made and last a lot longer so that was our decision

I wonder if Tim hangs out on appliance forums reading about all the features of the latest and greatest Wolf, Subzero, and Dacor appliances, saying each should have this and that feature, all while talking about how his 20 year old Frigidaire works fine for his purposes. …And he doesn’t understand why anyone would have TWO ovens in their kitchen!

Ha!! I was close. I wrote my above post before reading this. Lmao.

No I don’t… I researched and visited showrooms and tried them out 1st ( being a cook) and preferred them to the true stuff which was the other choice. Wanted made in USA stuff

Looked at thermador French door 48” but compressor is on bottom and useable space was too high for wife(5”2 Asian) you had to be like 6’5” to reach top shelf in that one. The Jenair obsidian was cool but not as well made and wasn’t that much cheaper..

The thing about appliances is that you just go with the best ones you think and then you just live with it for 2025 years until you die or move or whatever
Modeling is different because I think technology moves a lot faster and the competition is more stiff because it’s smaller market, but like I said, if for fact did a helix Stadium interface, I think that they would probably sell a lot more and be a lot more user-friendly

Keen cook here too - Lacanche oven was expensive when we got it but 22 years on we’ve no need to move on.

My tonelab is in the loft though and I’m looking forward to the Stadium getting here when it’s ready :)

Dude, who ARE you?

Thermador, Wolf, Sub-Zero....you're suddenly talking all high-end appliances for your kitchen. But then you have a problem with buying a $2000 modeler because you're always second-guessing if something better is just around the corner.

You come across as an older person but then you post all these crazy Cardi B memes. I was positive you were Canadian....but now it looks like you're American.

You're an odd one Mr. Tim. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
