Line 6 Helix Stadium

It doesn’t seem a totally new product overall… sure gui is new and slick but I guess I was expecting all new amps and effects from the “new” agoura engine.
And yes, I know that there’s going to be a few amps in there with this new engine and likely no effects, but it’s not gonna have all the old helix stuff in there and as I said a couple times it reminds me thousand having all the old apps but introducing a few examps which the xamps are way more dynamic than the regular amps and when I had the GT 1000 I was kind of bumped because I thought there would be more x amps

And that's bad?

I truly, truly, truly don't understand why in the hell ANYONE would prefer a successor to the Helix that would make you throw away every single patch you'd ever created and start over from scratch.

What in the absolute hell is wrong with you, man?

what do you think the clip is this week ?

since we have had Fender Twin and Vox

my guess goes to JCM 800 2203, hopefully hitting it with a boost at the end :satan
I think you could be right BUT we just got the jumped Plexi recently. I’m hoping something like a brown deluxe, or tearing off the bandaid and showing off some high gain stuff. I think we see the high gain stuff last, frankly.

I’ve pre ordered the XL. I don’t own a Helix - I’ve got a Kemper.

Because I haven’t used Line 6 gear since the days of Pod XT I thought I’d give it a go via the free trial of Native on my PC. It’s a shame I’ve only got 11 days left of the trial because it’s exceeded my expectations and I’m even more excited for the stadium now. The layout weirded me out at first due to me being used to rig manager but I’m getting used to it and finding it easy to build things I am enjoying. There’s a few things already that won’t have Agoura versions in 1.0 that I wouldn’t want to lose…. There’s some really nice sounds in this thing. Preaching to the choir mostly here I suppose but having the existing models in there makes sense.

Will the older models benefit from focus view I wonder? I guess in future, ‘yes’ as it’s been said that we’ll be able to make our own focus zones. But having the 60 or so existing amps for the focus parameters with L6 experts setting them up would be a great way to add further value to the old amps as I think focus will be incredibly useful. Also…. will the hype knob work on these older amps or is that Agoura only?

I could see this with foot switching between the low and high inputs, then switching on an SD-1 and Dynamic Plate reverb and hitting some chords.

Hype knob is Agoura only, I believe, but all of the amps have Focus view zones from what I understand.

They will introduce more agora sims :) The hardware is capable of running them. It'll take some time for new firmwares, sure, but it's the way things tend to work now. Software develops and you get updates. But yes, I would have also wished for more agora amps at launch.
I know this as they have stated it. And from past updates they will have around 10 yrs to do it so I am sure no rush from them and that’s why they have all the old helix stuff in there. To pad the expansion

Nothing. I actually see the helix Stadium as a way to get people who never liked or gelled with the helix tones to be re-introduced to the helix, but I think that may not be the case so it was my misunderstanding sorry.
