It's all about prioritization. At this point, I'd guess fewer than 20 people worldwide currently control DT amps with Helix/Rack/LT, and the assumption is that not all of them will update to Stadium, so the amount of work needed to define, implement, test, iterate, and nail DT support for the benefit of a population likely in the single digits isn't a non-starter by itself, but compared to all the other things that could benefit tens or hundreds of thousands of current and future users, it ends up being a pretty big ask, I'm afraid.

Not saying no, but if it doesn't happen, there may eventually be another path forward.

Yes, and the integration with the not yet discussed looper functionality could really expand what a solo artist could do, probably beyond what my aging brain can even imagine at the moment.

Now this is a very interesting aspect.

Right now, my Kemper looper is useless to me since it is limited (compared to real loopers) and lacks quantization (I can only get a perfect 1st loop 1 out of 3 attempts in general).

A good looper combined with a playback library would be the perfect solo/duo tool!

Yes. Stadium will have backwards compatibility with OG Helix patches, meaning all Helix blocks will be available on launch - minus the old hybrid cabs.

What is replacing the hybrid cabs? Just straight IRs?

I hope! Lol he did mention way earlier in this thread that he can’t promise anything but that he could see effects AND cab updates coming down to the OG Helix line if they’re compatible. That’s pretty cool imo - cab updates are the sweetest

Interesting side effect of the Helix Stadium Announcment.

Don't know if its happening elsewhere, but here in Oz you can now buy a mint 2nd hand Full Helix Floor for ~$1500 - sometime way less ... mint LT for ~950 or less .... unheard of 2nd hand prices until just very recently.

OG FM3 are selling for ~$1200 <-> ~$1300 and they sit for quite while now.

Axe 3's are advertised but just don't really move much anymore - seem to take ages to sell - I think L6's decision not to do a Rack is brilliant.

Very interestingly, the HX Stomp has *not* dropped in price or demand in the used market .... once a classic always a classic as they say.

Me ... I have no doubt that the new Stadium and New Modeling is [almost certainly] going to be brilliant .... but .... I only use 1 or 2 Amps and a handful of efx .... so will be sticking with my HX Stomp with a Simplifier X in the Loop for Amps ..... it is soooo f&cking good !

Bu when the new Augora based "Stadium Stompium" finally drops, I'll be all over it like a hungry fat man at a breakfast buffet :)

I’ve noticed a lot of helix and kempers in the last few weeks. Still don’t really see axefx3s, a few fm3s. Definitely a combo of new stuff being announced making people assess their current gear. Some could just be selling cause they never used it, others could be anticipating new releases. Pretty cool either way for the second hand market.

They're not keeping the legacy cabs in Helix Stadium. Only the ones that came with the 3.50 update. It's something to be aware when importing presets from current Helix.
