Your oven sounds amazing nteresting
It’s the oven equivalent of a single channel valve amp. No screen, doesn’t even have a clock. Gets hot. The gas marks are French which differ from the U.K.

It seems I hear over and over about the fractal and it’s interface so we all know that if the fractal had a helix touchscreen or something similar on it, it would be just game over

I don’t think there is ‘game over’ for any of the devices at this end of the market - they’ll all do amazing things but they will ultimately think differently. It’s about choosing what makes sense for what you do and how you like to interact with it so it enhances your playing enjoyment rather than gets in the way.

For me, I’m liking the look of stadium interface far more than fractal *that I can see*. I could choose to wait of course but if I’m choosing now, I’m choosing between something I’ve seen adequately demonstrated via videos and it makes sense to me…. I can do that or I can wait for another company promising to do better. Which I’m sure they will but you’re choosing between something real now or a maybe in the future.

I talked to my GC guy yesterday - they said they're getting plenty of units to cover the pre-orders and more. They expect to ship everything out between 11/14 and 11/23.

So no need to worry about being late - if you jump in now, you should be covered just fine and get your unit before end of month.

FWIW, the online GC gear advisors are all very cool in my experience.

There was some mention on TOP of Sweetwater being quite backed up on pre-orders, which is probably because they seem to be more popular. Despite the whole shipping fiasco, MF/GC makes more sense because of the better availability and being able to use coupons.

I moved away from SW because GC almost always gives me better prices. Plus, if you're buying used gear, GC is awesome because if you don't like it, you can just return it at your local GC.

Had no problems with Sweetwater (I'm a longtime customer), and as soon as I got wind of the first MF 15% off coupons being used for Stadium all the way back in June, my Sweetwater rep matched with no pushback.

Just my experience.....

Flip side. I had to have extensive back and forth with my rep to get him to match. To the point of threatening to cancel my preorder. It really wasn't a threat though because I would have happily switched.

Even then he still griped about it

I too am a long time customer

My rep sucks - always gives me some reason they can’t match or give me a discount. Back in the day (6-10 years ago) I could at least get 10% off anything just by asking or finding another competitor coupon. Hasn’t been the case recently.

Yeah, it's a crap shoot. I think I benefited from more than a few forum-ites calling in and asking ahead of me. There was a lot going on in that immediate 24 hours after Line 6's announcement, and they didn't even have a page up, so preorders were all manually done by phone.

They confirmed with me yesterday that I was in the first 100, so Nov. 18 or whenever will be a day of smiles.

Sheesh folks just get a MF account. I was able to get a 15% coupon from a forum member here and I'd be happy to pass on the favor as I have a 15% off coupon now in my inbox.

Plus with MF, they also give you back another $150 back on top of the 15% that you can apply to a future purchase. So it's a good deal.

As much as we grumble about SW reps. If anything were to go wrong with my purchase I trust SW much more than MF/GC

Maybe if you're buying $25,000+ worth of gear at a time for large studio purchases.

But otherwise, I don't see a huge difference in service online. The GC gear advisors are cool knowledgeable guys, and they don't hound you with repeat calls regarding your last purchase of a pack of picks. I've also found returns to be much easier with GC.

I've visited SW several times and attending multiple GearFests. They're a quality outfit...but I've also been shopping with GC online for the last 3 years and I find it works out fine for me as well.

I will say I get more calls from GC/MF 😂 probably just depends on your rep.

I'll probably do more shopping at MF moving forward

Thing for me is I can drive 1.5-2 hrs in a couple of directions and be at a GC. SW is a bit of a jaunt comparatively.

Time to switch reps to someone awesome, like my rep.

GC / MF will get my business moving forward.

1) Return policy is superior
2) Rewards associated with gear purchases
3) Financing options are usually better
4) Military discount (I’m in the Navy)
5) Deep discounts when I call into GC / MF

I’ve had to change my SW rep three times for one reason or another. Returns are always a hassle for me. As other people mentioned, I used to get 10-15% reliably from SW but now they refuse to touch prices no matter how adamant I am.

Sweetwater sucks for returns. But they never sent me a floor model guitar loose in a box with no padding, as ‘new’, like guitar center did. The thing arrived with the single piece of tape peeling off so I could stick my hand right inside and grab the guitar without opening the box. The neck was cracked. There was literally one single piece of brown paper inside that was doing nothing to protect the guitar. The box was big enough for a dreadnaught case so the electric guitar was just bouncing around in there the whole way. I hope whoever packed that got fired.

So I like to order guitars from sweetwater if possible. Everything else from musicians friend for the 8% back.
