The last 16 pages remind me of the launch of the QC.

That’s really not off base at all in regard to a new, feature-packed product and the excitement over it. Only in this case, it’s not Line 6’s first hardware unit and they’ve had a pretty great track record with previous units. I just checked TGP for my old RevDrucifer posts to see if I could screenshot the backlash I got for suggesting NDSP could have bitten off more than they could chew with their first hardware modeler around the time the delays started occurring before it shipped, but clearly all those posts have been deleted.

Judging from the video, the footswitch LEDs seem to be brighter than on the previous version, if true, that's a big improvement in my (admittedly very personal) book.

It’s very Apple which is cool to me but you can see it even in that corners or quadrants to dial in amps quickly by moving finger to left side darker going right brighter etc
Then just being able to go that’s great just a bit to bright and reach and turn down the treble knob to fine tune
That’s pretty damn fast
As someone said it’s almost like Dyna cabs for amps
A bunch of preset settings behind the scenes

Yes I noticed its much like Dynacabs, So Im guessing this is a good starting point to get you quickly where you want to be, then if required you fine tune with deeper parametrs,
I dare say this is game changing

Yeah, this is where I’m at. I have serious doubts about whether I even want a unit this large (the Stomp to QC range is perfect for me, and the FM3 being the size it is is literally the only reason I haven’t gone to it from the Stomp… but I think about it a lot haha), but I got in pretty early on the preorders so I’m just going to wait and see.

Someone posted screenshots from another place where thebishopgame states Agoura won't come to Helix Native. I really do hope Native will grow with the new generation. For me the tight integration was a key selling point for Helix. I have my Floor with my gigging setup at the studio/rehearsal space and could rehearse/record/noodle with the same sounds at home without hauling my Helix. Also studio to stage was a breeze. Please don't bail on Native.

Yeah, would even be kinda weird if they didn't come up with a corresponding plugin as that's one of the most unique things they have on offer. And a most excellent one at that.
Would defenitely be an entirely new plugin, though.

Helix Studio is my guess. Stadium for the big stage, Studio for the...studio.

I use fractal products and think they are great but man…a lot of the people on forums…they’re something.

Trying to suggest anything is wrong with the product or feature improvements gets met with 50 backlash posts all the same dribble.

“Who cares, this is for pros”
“nothing matters except the sound”
“X brand is just a toy”
“Too many people are used to the UI, it can’t be changed now”

They’re so closed minded they can wrap their head around the fact that usability and sound quality can coexist and aren’t mutually exclusive.

Maybe, sometimes. If you take a look at the FAS forum thread now, you'll see appreciation and respect for the new product.

I couldn't care less about capturing tbh, but the fact that HXS will be able to train Proxy captures in the cloud while you use your device for something else, and download them automatically once finished, is really impressive.

The ToneJunkies of the world are going to go apeshit over this.

Yeah I think the appreciation outweighs the negative ones.

Honestly, if you are a digital fan and this new Helix doesn't excite you in some way, reconsider some things

Not saying you have to be thinking I NEED IT or even plan to purchase one. But what L6 just launched is a a huge step forward for digital and is exactly what I'd expect the next generation to have feature and looks wise

Tonacracy works like that. IMHO that's the best way to do it. Capture a bunch of different amp/mic configurations, then upload them to the cloud for the analysis where compute power suitable for the training is available.
