Line 6 Helix Stadium

Bummer… I guess used old Stomp it is then

I actually picked up my used and reasonably priced HX Stomp at the post office today. And since the seller hadn’t used the one-time opportunity to buy Helix Native at a lower price (I asked before I bought the Stomp), I’ve now used that opportunity. (Perhaps I could have waited until the next sale, but I wanted it now (finally)).

Still very interested in Stadium, especially the Stomp successor and Stadium Native. Meanwhile, the HX Stomp will be a nice grab-and-go solution.

We've discussed expanding the snapshot count but I can't remember what the deal was.
It would be awesome having a second page of snapshots. Not sure how you could cycle through the pages (maybe with Mode FS?) while also being able to change presets, but I could really use that feature.

Bummer about the editor not being fully capable at launch, but I voted to ship it and catch up by EOY. Unlike Neutered DSP, I have full confidence Line 6 will deliver, without having to debate what the word “soon” means.

The editor is actually more important to me than stage. I like my floor device on the floor so I can use my feet as the guitar gods intended. I don’t want to be hunched over the device any more than necessary.

Fully agree. It sounds like theyll only need a month or two to release the full editor, but that seems like a much bigger deal than Spotlight being delayed until EOY. I was planning to keep mine under my studio desk connected to the Borg, so this mildly complicates things in the interim.

If the editor is available a few months after launch, then that’s not bad. If it’s going to be 6+ months then it will be something to consider more seriously.

For the record, the editor is actually much futher along than we imagined back in June. So that particular bullet isn't an "Awww, the editor won't be available at launch" (which again, almost never happens), it's more "Dang, editor development is so far ahead there was a chance to get it at launch (instead of 6 months later like with Helix Floor—or years later like with some other products), but to be safe, we might have to stick with the librarian for 1.1." If anything, it was good news, not bad news.
Are we talking -maybe- more than 8 Snapshots -or maybe- more than 64 adjustable parameters per Snapshot -or- both ?
Couldn't remember but Igor just set me straight. Unlike in Helix/HX, Snapshot assignment is now independent of controller assignments:
  • Snapshot assignments: 96 per preset
  • Controller assignments: 16 per source ("source" being a built-in Stomp A or Stomp B switch, built-in expression pedal, external momentary footswitch, external expression pedal, external trigger, XY Controller X-axis, XY Controller Y-axis, incoming MIDI CC, incoming MIDI note, etc.). Collectively this means potentially hundreds of controller assignments.
Conversely, Helix/HX is limited to 64 assignments total per preset, which are shared across both snapshot and controller assignments.

In 10 stomp mode there will be 2 pages for a total of 20 assignable foot switches.

I can imagine having the extra snapshots available in this mode might be a solution.

Snapshot 1 to 8 if you use the standard snapshot view, snapshot 9-16 available via command center.

Are you just trolling or you mean this?
I guess I would rather the editor and looper were finished on release so releasing next year would be ok by me. The whole go try for 45 days is somewhat worthless when getting a product released unfinished in a lot of ways. So I would rather they release it more complete but they need money to fund that so releasing early likely helps with the funding.
