Line 6 Helix Stadium

I mean, Stadium hasn't even launched yet and you're thinking about when will the next product be released, when Stadium has arrived 10 years after OG Helix...

I'm curious about why you seem to be trying so hard to find a reason to cancel your preorder, tbh😅

this is the correct answer, if you want to wait another decade before buying a Helix

While many people have FOMO - Timbuck3 has FOC (fear of commitment). He just wants to make absolutely sure that what he has is the absolute best for the money, with nothing possibly better around the corner. In the process, he winds up buying nothing.

It's ok Tim - I'm similar. But you've got to stop checking and just buy at some point.

With where we are today - I'm very confident that the amp modeled signal coming out of the output jack of most modelers will suffice for almost any situation. Where you want to focus on is the sound/audio reproduction system - that's where you're going to get the most gains. I personally have chosen guitar cab and it's made ALL the difference in closing the gap to a real amp.

So, if you find a modeler with the right feature set - just get it. It's very small incremental gains from here on if you're playing through a good guitar cab. If you want to go FRFR - then yes, there are gains to be made into the future. But if you want parity with amps, you can pretty much have it today.

My theory was that I realize they put a lot of money and research and whatever into this new helix Stadium, but that’s gonna be considered the flagship now obviously but they’re probably phase out the old helix, and this will become the new helix...
Helix/HX products aren't getting phased out. As with all our products, they'll stay in the market until their sales diminish to the point where it costs more to keep them than to EOL them. Stadium is a new line that exists above Helix/HX.

So if we were to consider Yamaha like Volkswagen, POD Go would be Audi, Helix/HX would be Porsche, and Stadium would be Lamborghini—three separate lines under the same parent company umbrella.

I understand what you mean, but comparing the Line 6 product range to the VW brands Audi, Porsche, and Lamborghini is quite... well... confident.

So where's the VW icon? ;)

Looking at the new video regarding the signal paths. Wow once more.

With that many slots available the processing power of this thing is immense. Did not know you could do four inputs at once. If it’s changing snapshots for you, you could literally run a drum track from the sd card then have you, the bass player and the vocalist all running through this at the same time with no one having to actually jump on the pedals! Do I have that right?

Note that that signal path didn't have any Agoura amps, which eat up a lot of horsepower. But if you use HX amps, yeah, you'll get a lot more blocks.

Helix Floor/Rack/LT can too; we even have a template preset for it. That video showed mono outputs (1/4" and XLR panned hard left and right). Each output block can be full stereo: Matrix, 1/4" Direct, XLR Direct, Phones Direct, Path 2A, Path 2B, Path 2A+B, S/PDIF, Send 1/2, Send 3/4, USB 1/2, USB 3/4, or USB 5/6.

Technically, yes, once Showcase is up and running. Hence, "centerpiece of your entire stage." Although of course, Agoura amps may not let you run a billion other blocks.

The Panama Red sample was cool, but I was definitely expecting a more, uh....modern example rather than the Temu version of "Summer Song" we got.

But this is where the more expanded bench of people demoing it will definitely come in handy. Maybe around Mid-September or October.....

What kind of signal chains can we expect to be able to build with Agoura amps? Helix tends to tap out with two amp blocks on one DSP, but that's likely much less necessary with Agoura since each Amp block contains all channels for most amp models.

Also, are you planning to solve the issue of "two of the same block type and model type next to each other"?

With Helix you can't tell if e.g Drive A is different from Drive B without selecting those blocks, and based on that latest video this could be an issue with HX Stadium as well if both Drive blocks are Overdrives and thus have the same icon.

Even some "Drive A" and "Drive B" labels would help differentiate.

I didn't think Temu but I definitely thought Satriani-lite?
