This is based on a lifetime of professional guitar playing, that multiple versions of the same can and do sound different. Have you never had a friend with a "magical amp" that just sounds better than yours?
I guess folks around here would have to have friends for that...

Is your lifetime of professional guitar playing more valid than anyone else's? It's from my experience that I can make AND SHOW that something is off. I've owned and compared enough amps and models to know how similar to expect things to be. Maybe it's an area for you to explore? Your current argument is along the lines of "trust me bro". If you're going to respond to people who've given examples, maybe provide some of your own?

Not sure if I understood but, is the problem that high end amps have too much treble or what?
It reminded me to last time I was at the studio mixing songs with my producer. Our keyboardist (20) said treble was way too high and the rest of us (35-40) disagreed, but then we sent the mixed to several friends and the young ones felt the same as our keyboardist. Conclusion: we older people had lost some audition and were indeed pushing the high frequencies

It even works for cleaner tones, so I'm using it as a basis for my kitchen sink preset for now and will see if I can cover the ground I need with the band. Not to mention that I’m gonna value the studio guys’ tonal input over the touring musician. All the “touring pros” I’ve worked with were half deaf by the time I got there. It’s always weird to me when people play the experience card, as if anyone here is going to be impressed. Several of us have amp collections nicer than some high dollar studios. Plenty of touring pros around too.
I’m not buying Stadium because I need more amps. I’m buying it because it makes production SO MUCH EASIER to have consistent, recallable amp tones that can be used in the same manner as I would the real amps I own and record. This whole issue popped up because a group of us who track amps A LOT immediately noticed that Stadium’s behavior is inconsistent/unusual compared to what we are used to hearing from real amps we use every day. This isn’t some narrative one of us cooked up and the rest ran with.
All for discussing methodologies with folks in good faith. Low effort trolling is gonna get ignored from here on out.
Honestly, I came here because I heard it was similar vibe to HRI back in the day. Unfortunately that's not what I found.

No, the real amps have the correct amount of top end. Models have a reasonably clear objective on what they're supposed to sound like, even if there are some variables involved.

How come no one ever uses the "Fractal just has a different amp" excuse?
In all seriousness - and I'm not saying he hasn't earned the credibility - Cliff is given wide credit for almost always having nailed accuracy out of the gate every time.
Even when he comes back in later firmware revisions and says he fixed incorrect values and behavior, no one seems to pick up on it before him. And to their credit, they seem to have modeled proper stock versions of iconic amps like the Plexi and JCM800 right out of the gate. Line 6's collection has modded versions. They also model categories with far more choices, so if, for example, you don't care for their Mark IIC, they have a IV, V, Triaxis and JP2C to scratch that itch. Several Plexis. Several JCM800s. Two different Rectos with all channels modeled. And so on and so forth.
I think Line 6 gets far more granular null/EQ/comparison tests than Fractal in my experience. And because they have less choices, each model carries a lot more weight/responsibility.

It sounds cool, and if you aren't fussed about how the real thing sounds, thats all that matters. They have a lot of tonal variation and there's tons of ways to dial them in.
I mean, it's cool sounding in isolation, but it's not really something that'll sway me to thinking that Agoura does have enough top and bottom end to it. There's too many variables person to person to draw any conclusions though.
Just for kicks, here's my version of it with a Silver Jubilee (obviously I have more gain, a different IR and different amp settings so its apples and oranges). I don't really think of the Jubilee as a particularly bright or fizzy amp, but it is a Marshall.... Equal apologies to any GNR fans for the slop, I haven't played this riff for ages
